Outside Wrath's office they all take a breath to pull themselves together, even if they couldn't actually breathe, "Colonel! Can you give us Dr. Knox's address please!" Alphonse pleads, Mustang nods and writes on a notepad, "I guess you do have people to see there, I'll give it to you but don't move openly." Alphonse thanks Mustang and takes the paper.

"And money! Give us some change!!" Edward demanded, unlike his more respectable brother, "You want money from me now?!" Mustang snaps back, but Edward wasn't in the mood to coax money out of the Colonel, especially when he can just have (Y/n) take it.

"Hurry up! We don't have the time!"

"Hey wait—"

"Gah! Fucking don't be stingy!"

"Stingy!?"

" Wow this is chump change, you are broke."

Looking to (Y/n), Mustang sees a vine in her hand and that vine was holding his wallet, " What the—! When did you even do that!?" Shaking out some coins (Y/n) tosses back Mustang's wallet with a bright smile, "If I told you, I would have to kill you." With that the three of them run off down the hallway.

"What are you idiots trying to be!? Wannabe gangsters?!"

=TIME SKIP=

The three reach a phone booth and input the change along with Mr. Garfield's shop number, " C'mon, c'mon, pick up." Edward mutters, only (Y/n) being able to hear him since she stuffed herself in the phone booth with him, poor Alphonse having to stand outside.

Winry answers the phone and the three of them immediately start fussing over her condition, "You're being creepy Ed." Everyone pauses for a second until Edward starts yelling at the phone, "Asshole! Do you know how worried—!" Winry cuts him off with a gentle thank you, "I'm glad you guys called, really glad." It made her heart flutter that Edward was so worried about her, but...

"Hey, I want to talk to (Y/n) can you put her on the phone please?"  Edward blinks at the request before passing the phone to (Y/n), shrugging when she looks at him, "What's up? Everything is alright, right?" Winry softly laughs and (Y/n) could visualize the nod she was making, "Everything's fine, I just want to tell you something." (Y/n) went silent which Winry took as a sign to continue.

As she was about to tell (Y/n), Winry pauses, "Ed's inside the phone booth with you isn't he?" (Y/n) affirmatively hums, "Kick him out please and thank you." (Y/n) stifles a laugh and turns to Edward, "Get out." Edward furrows his eyebrows, clearly not hearing the exchange, "What? Why?" (Y/n) shrugs and ushers Edward out of the booth, "Dunno."

Once Edward was forced out of the phone booth (Y/n) could see the tiny pout on his face, "He's out, so what is it you want to tell me?" Winry took a breath before pouring her heart out.

"You're family to me you know that? I was an only child growing up so when Ed and Al walked in with you... I knew you were going to be my sister. I never got many chances to hang out with other girls my age so, I might've tried to get you to like me a bit too hard."

(Y/n) laughs at the last part, remembering when she first met the Rockbell family, Winry followed her around all the time during their visit. Most likely trying to get a read on her likes and dislikes, "Anyways, what I'm trying to say is... I will do whatever it takes to make you happy, no matter the cost." Even if that cost is my own happiness, she didn't say that part but it should be known.
