Justin's POV

"Something smells good." I said as I walked in through Scooter's living room, making my way towards the dining room.

There stood Scooter and Allison, amongst others, who were having some sort of catered lunch event. It seemed casual, so I don't feel bad for dropping by unannounced.

I greeted Scooter and went to hug Al and kiss her head, and although she allowed me too, her face and her body language made it seem like she was bothered by me, and I know why.

Allison hasn't been so happy with me since the pictures with Charlotte came out, which is something Charlotte is not aware of. She's somewhat angry with me for my divorce, she loved Hailey for me, and although she loved Charlotte once, she did not like how i acted when I was with her.

I sighed and ignored her attitude.

"Justin" Scooter called, "Come here, there's some people I want you to meet."

Charlotte's POV

I threw an oversized sweatshirt over my head and began to look around my room for my phone, which was nowhere to be seen.

I landed about an hour ago in my hometown, so i'm staying at my moms house in my old room. When I got here I wasted no time to jump into the shower and get into something cozy.

I walked down the stairs and went to the living room, where I had my phone last, and there was my mom sitting on the couch, watching one of her shows.

"Honey." she called as she heard my footsteps come near.

"Who is this Justin that is texting you so much?" she asked as she read whatever was on my screen.

My heart accelerated to the point where it felt as if it were going to burst.

"Charlotte..." she said, sounding as if she were in shock.

I looked over her shoulder and spotted Justin's name across my screen, he was calling my phone and the old contact picture I had saved for him was displaying on full screen.

"Why is Justin calling you?"

Justin's POV

"I'm gonna go you guys." "I'll see you later."
Allison said to us.

She turned on her heels but I walked behind her.
"Are you gonna keep ignoring me?" I said.

She turned around and gave me a stare.

"Cmon, just... let it out. Yell at me or whatever."

"You know what I think, I don't have to yell at you." she said.

"What? That i'm stupid for leaving Hailey to go back to Charlotte?"

"Yes!" Allison said. "It's like you're walking backwards Justin! You gave up your marriage! To go back to your teenage girlfriend."

"Allison, you know Charlotte is not just my teenage girlfriend."

She knows how much Charlotte means to me, how important she's always been to me, she's been with me, along with Scooter and my mom, behind closed doors, she's seen everything.

She sighed and crossed her arms. Since Charlotte and I were doing long distance the last time we were together, and then she got out of the picture for a while, Allison created a stronger bond with Hailey, and I guess she's hurt from our separation.

"I don't like Charlotte." she shrugged her shoulders, I think she's unstable, and will backtrack all the progress you've made with her inconsistencies. And I don't want you to become unhealthy again."
