When I met you, I was not prepared to meet anyone else. I closed doors and barely trusted anyone but trust me when I say that my heart was in the process of rusting.
To meet someone like you was a phase where I knew I would watch the dawn and the twilight with dreamy eyes and sleep peacefully at night without a dreamcatcher dangling above my bed.I thought I already knew the cycle, but we are meant to make wrong judgments, aren't we? I did not imagine I would end up having a list of everything I liked about you. I like how you loosen up when we are casually talking or how excited you are when you speak about the things you like or someone you love and value. Those are the ones that mattered to me, even though they appear to you like a familiar breeze passing by.
The hardest thing to predict about you is the thoughts inside your mind. Do you let them linger, or do you let them slide?
If the sky only knew how I look up to you just as how the stargazers would do to see a perfect view of their stars, perhaps it could have given you an approximate value of how quick I am to do so.
They say life is only worth living if you knew that you positively influenced others to live a worthy life. By now, I can assure you that you are living a life worth being proud of, for you influenced me in many ways — much more than what you have known.
When God decided to put you in my life, I speculate whether he knew that everything I touch gets destroyed. That everything I treasure does not last long in my treasure chest. Everything I value does not actually last long in my hands. They all vanish into thin air like soap bubbles. But you were my complete opposite. Everything you touch breathes life, and everything you treasure understands its worth. Everything you value, which you think has slipped out of your hands, is still lingering.I wish you knew that just by merely existing, you gave my life a blissful meaning. Nothing ever beats the sun, they say - except that God gifted Earth with the brightest star named you.
