you know when your pupils dilate when you are in the dark? it's because they are trying to let more light in. do you know when else they dilate? they dilate when you are looking at someone you love. they dilate the same way they do when it's dark. it's like the person you are in love with holds so much light, your eyes are trying to adjust to the pure joy you experience just by seeing them. but the thing is, how do my eyes know i'm in love with someone before my mind does?

that's something i think about a lot and it makes me feel weird, but the thought keeps coming back.

today is the start of the 2022-2023 season, the bills take on the rams in los angeles. the rams are the defending superbowl champions while the bills were knocked out of the playoffs in the divisional round by the kansas city chiefs, which still stings.

i'm wearing my brothers jersey, the wide receiver for the bills, stefon diggs. my other brother, trevon plays for the cowboys.

i live in buffalo, but i travel a lot because i'm a sports analyst for espn. they give me a schedule at the beginning of the year and those are the games i go to.

i write articles about the games, and i love my job. it's what i've wanted to do my whole life. i don't think i would be as happy with another job than the one i have now.

this year, i mainly am covering bills games which is exciting because i get to be around the team i love the most.

sometimes i get to interview the players, or coaches, other times i'm just reporting the game. today, i have to report on the bills game.

i love going to games at sofi stadium, this stadium is probably one of my favorites, i love the way it's built. i think it makes sense why the superbowl was played here.

speaking of the superbowl, the bengals were robbed of that win.

since thursday night football games usually start around 8:20, eastern time, it starts at 5:20 pacific time.

i prefer the atmosphere of night games, i feel like they are just better for some reason. this is going to be a very national attention game, considering it's the first game of the season and it's thursday night football.

i made my way to my seat, which was in a box. i pulled out my laptop and got ready to report anything that i need to.

i watched the player introductions and watched the bills players run out, and even in a box, the atmosphere was still amazing.

the bills received the ball first, the drive ending in a touchdown by davis.

the bills ended up winning the game by a lot, 31-10.

i published my reports, and put my laptop in my briefcase. i hate that i have to carry it around, but that's the only con to my dream job.

stefon and josh had amazing days today, stefon had 122 yards and a touchdown, josh had 56 rushing yards, 297 pass yards, 3 passing touchdowns and one rushing touchdown.

i texted the groupchat with some of the closest people on the team to me. i honestly don't like the groupchat name, but josh comes up with crazy names all the time.

i made my way out of the stadium and to my car. as much as i love sofi, i hate the parking lot. even though i got here super early, i still parked super far away.

i walked around the stadium and to my car, which was parked in the kia forum parking lot.

i put my briefcase on the passenger seat and walked around the driver's side. i saw a note on the door.

i know this is a tactic to kidnap women, so i quickly grab the note and get into my car making sure to lock the doors immediately.

i grab the note and read it.

i laughed when i read it, because all it said was hi. and i know that it is from josh because i called him allentown one time and he hasn't forgot it since.

the funny thing is, he walked all the way to my car just to put it there. i also didn't tell him where my car was, so he must've found it.

i put the note inside of my center console, put my playlist on and pull out of the parking spot.

my hotel was in los angeles, and considering i'm in inglewood, and dealing with california traffic, i won't get back to my hotel until about an hour from now.

i roll the windows down, as it is california and the beginning of september and i let the warm breeze enter throughout my car.

it's a rental, because my actual car is in buffalo, but i've been in los angeles for a week now.

one of my favorite songs came on, sofia by clario. i hummed along to the song.

this song is majorly nostalgic for me and some of my best memories.

i started thinking about memories from that time but i had to skip it before i started crying.

i started listening to some coldplay, a sky fully of stars specifically.

it felt like a movie, driving through los angeles on the highway, all the city lights shining brightly, windows down, and this song playing.

moments likes these are the little moments i love the remember.

i took a detour to listen to music a little longer before arriving at my hotel. i parked my car at valet and handed them my keys.

i grabbed my briefcase and made my way upstairs to go to sleep after a very long but exciting day.
