Today was the day the other two schools were set to arrive. We all stood outside in the cold yet we were warm. I of course shared the wealth of my warming charm with the school. Soon we heard Hagrid shout for the runway to be cleared. I glanced up and saw the proud, white Abraxan flying in with a majestic carriage attached. I think watched Hagrid nearly get taken out by said carriage as he manages to jump out of the way in time. That got a snicker from my Slytherin. The carriage opened and a tall, proud lady came down the steps. She could be none other than Madame Maxine. She caught my eye and gave me a nod of acknowledgement before turning to her girls. She had known my mom well and of course I would have gone to her school if not for my part in the war. Soon the girls came down in their light blue silken robes that did nothing to ward off our frigid winds. They quickly dashed inside to escape the cold as their carriage was led away.
Not too long after a small dingy was spotted in Black Lake by a student and all eyes turned to it. We saw it in time as it raised up into the air for a beautiful ship that had been traveling underwater. It soon made landfall and the pounding feet of Durmstrang began walking towards us in a matching rhythm. I spotted Viktor at the back and darted towards him. The last I'd seen him was in the fight against the death eaters. I mean he had been at my mum's funeral but I wasn't mentally there so it didn't count. He stopped and caught me when I flew into his arms. He held me tightly as he whispered that he was glad I was ok. I then matched his march towards my own school as we gripped each other's hands. Dumbledor met Karkaroff while Rick Man was signaling desperately for me to rejoin my House.
"I'll see you later when your school makes it's dramatic entrance during dinner." I snickered before rejoining Reggie and Tom.
"Who is he?" Tom whispered.
"He is a star athlete in the pro quidditch world especially as he's the youngest pro. Since as you can see he is still in school. He's quite famous. However, I've known him since we were both in diaper. He lives near us in Bulgaria. I rarely see him now though due to his pro quidditch life." I said on a sigh.
I loved all the friends I've made here at Hogwarts but I did miss those I had while growing up. It'd be nice to around Viktor again. I didn't recognize any of the other Durmstrang students or the Beauxbaton. So I guess my childhood friends didn't come with their schools to represent them other than Viktor.
That night for dinner is when the schools were officially announced. The Beauxbaton girls came in with their fancy fluttery moves that led to them releasing beautiful blue butterflies. I thought it was very whimsical and lovely. I did miss taking dance and I know had I attended their school dance would have been a class I could have taken. The French school was all about the arts in addition to magic. I mean Hogwarts wasn't completely without. They did have the Frog Choir but it wasn't enough for me. I did wonder why pureblood families didn't request it because I know for a fact the pure blood families have their daughters take dance lessons such as ballet leading up to Hogwarts. I was interrupted from my reverie by the entrance of the Durmstrang students. They put on an exciting show in opposition of the whimsical show from the girls. Their staffs spun at speeds that were blinding and they ended it in acrobats that were impressive. I stood and clapped. Dumbledor then had the Beauxbaton students sit with Ravenclaw and Durmstrang with Slytherin.
"Better make way because I know for sure Viktor is going to sit with us and if he does his whole group probably will." I warned my friends.
Viktor led his classmates straight to us as I predicted and he all but shoved my cousin to sit next to me. I could see Tom glaring daggers at the big man. A handsome Bulgarian sat next to Ginny who flushed and immediately began to flirt with but what had me shocked was Draco's reaction to Ginny. I watched annoyance pass over his face as he glared at the boy who was flirting with our beloved fiery, ginger. I knew Draco wasn't gay as his interest in me had been real. I had thought for sure though that his interest in girls wouldn't shadow over his love for Blaise. Unless, hm I never foresaw him being polyamorous but it isn't unheard of in the wizarding world. It doesn't happen anymore but it used to happen a lot not even that long ago. It is legal in the wizarding world to marry more than one partner. Now that I see it though I was totally team Ginny x Draco x Blaise. I caught Theo's eye and could see he was picturing it too. I could tell we'd have a new bet going soon.
