Let the Wooing Games Begin

Fred has been wooing me for a month now and wearing me down.  What makes me happier is it seems to have sparked romance into Hogwarts air.  All over romantic gestures were being made.  One in particular surprised me.

The Yule Ball seemed to have sparked something between Fleur and Krum.  They went as friends but discovered they were a lot a like.  Both chased obsessively for the wrong reasons.  Her for her supernatural beauty and for him his fame.  Both wanted someone who actually saw them and they could have that with each other.  So they'd begun spending time together getting to know each other and I guess Vik liked her quiet strength because now he's wooing her.

Within my Hogwarts friend group wooing was also happening.  Except Ron.  Ickle Ronniekins needs time to grow up still.  But even my cold hearted cousin is wooing one Hermione Granger.  To others it might not appear to be wooing but it most certainly is his version.

For example, I was in the library earlier maybe spying and maybe not when I witnessed my cousin wooing.   He slipped out of the restricted section and approached the table where Hermione was seated.  He placed a restricted book on top of what she was reading and told her she'll enjoy it.  Then sat across from her and began reading a book he'd grabbed for himself.  No other words spoken.  To others that might not be wooing.  But for my cousin that definitely was.  If her small smile and blushing was anything to go by, I think Hermione enjoyed his style of wooing.

I think my grandpa has joined the games.  He's been spending a loooooot of time in the fat lady's portrait and vice-versa.  That's been traumatizing to say the least.  You don't want to know the things innocent eyes have caught within their paintings.  TRUST ME.

Snape isn't wooing anyone but the ghost of his memories.  All the romantic ballads pouring from his office is embarrassing. Like I want to tease him, but I don't have the heart to hurt him.  It's the last thing I wanna doooo 🎶🎵 Sorry couldn't help myself it was one of the sad girl anthems he was listening to.

I digress onto myself. Even though Reggie and George didn't hurt me with their actions they were still wooing me regardless.  Reggie brought the romance and George the fun.  Fred was bringing both because as the one that hurt me he knew he had to be top of his game.  He gave me flowers, candies, dances up in the astrology tower, and let me assist on pranks.

Tonight we were meeting under the stars by Black Lake.  He had floating light orbs floating which helped cast a romantic glow.  Light music began to play and he was dressed up for a ball.  I realize he was recreating the night we missed in his own way.  He must have got help from my girls as they made sure to dress me up.  It wasn't a formal gown but it was definitely dressier than an everyday kind of dress.

"May I have this dance, my Queen?" Fred asked while bent over in a bow his hand held out to me.

"You may." I murmured as I slid my hand in his.

We danced for several songs by the lake as the moonlight glowed beautiful around us.  Suddenly we weren't alone as my friends danced with their dates around us.

"May I cut in, my Queen?" Asked George.

I then danced with George for a few songs before Reggie took his turn.  I went on to have fun with everyone.  As the sun began to rise my friends all left me with my men.

"Katarina" Fred began.

"Kamenova" George continued.

"Dobreva." Reggie finished.

"We give unto you our hearts. We ask to be yours and for you to be ours.  Will you be our girlfriend?" The boys asked in unison.

It was so damn cheesy.  It was so them though and what do you know the Queen fell for it hook, line, and sinker.
