The Pink Toad is going down, down, down

The next day, Krum and I left to visit the Bulgarian first year's parents to deliver his letter.  Once we arrived, we spoke to the parents and explained everything before handing the letter.    The mother turned to her husband crying as he wrapped his arms around her.  He asked if we'd escort them to the ministry, and so we did.

Our ministry was appalled by the letter and my own recounting of what I'd been told.  They said they'd send a team to Umbitch's home to find further evidence that she supports Voldy.  He'd also send a separate team to Hogwarts to arrest her. 

When the time came, I went with the team to Hogwarts.  They wanted a proper entrance instead of entering through a tunnel.  This is why I came in as an heir I can allow them through Hogwarts wards.  I felt for the wards and asked them to allow my aurors through. We marched through the school, and it wasn't long before the pink toad reached us as the whispers of our arrival whispered through the school.  I wore a smug grin as I stared her down.

"What is the meaning of this?" Umbitch asked.

"You're being charged for abuse by the Bulgarian ministry, and you're under arrest.  Incarcerous." The auror said.

As aurors took her wand and placed magic canceling cuffs on the pink toad, others went to her office.

"We found the blood quills and are bagging them for evidence." An auror called out.

"You can't do this.  You've no authority here." Umbitch shouted.

"Actually, we can as not all of your students are from here.  You have students here from Bulgaria.  They reported being abused by you.  That gives us the authority.  Guess you aren't as smart as you thought." The head auror stated.

"How does it feel to be in my spot, you pink toad?  I warned you that you that you were in grave danger.  Your power trip made my words true." Trelawney smugly said.

I raised a brow and smirked at that.  Then, a patronus appeared, stating the search of her home had been completed with sufficient evidence found.  I watched as the pink toad's face went pale.  Word had been sent to McGonagall, who appeared at this moment.

"We're all wrapped up.  The school is all yours Headmaster.  She's being charged for harming the Bulgarian witches and wizards along with supporting the dark lord.  We'll eventually alert your ministry, but you can now if you'd like or wait for us to and keep them out of your school's business longer." The head auror explained to Minnie.

Kids all around began cheering as we left.  An auror took me back to camp while the rest left with their prisoner.  When I got back, Narcissa called a meeting.

"Now that Hogwarts is safe, I'd like to rescue Miss Granger's parents. Lady Longbottom, can you watch over the camp while the Greengrass parents, my sister, Ted, and I escort Miss Granger home to gather her parents? I don't think think we'll be long." Narcissa requested.

"Of course I can Lady Malfoy.  These kids are old enough to know how to behave themselves.  We'll be fine." Lady Longbottom said.

Hermione's POV

We apparated to my family home under the cover of darkness so muggles wouldn't see us.  It was only seven in the evening, so my parents would still be up.  We went to my front door, and I let us in.

"Mum, dad?  I'm home." I called out.

"Hermione dear?  What are you doing out of school?" Mrs. Granger asked.

"Mum, dad, we don't have a lot of time, but war is on the horizon.  It'll be especially dangerous for you.  We have a safe house.  We can explain more, but we need to go now.  Please hurry and pack your essentials." I said.

"Incoming!! They must have been watching the house!" Mrs. Greengrass shouted. 

"Hermione hurry up while we hold them off!" Narcissa shouted.

I rushed my parents up, and they shoved things in bags before running back down.  Narcissa came in looking rough but fine. 

"Mrs.  Granger, grab me!  Hermione, grab your dad.  We must go.  There's too many." Narcissa said in a panicked voice.

Trembling I grabbed onto my dad and we apparated back to camp.  As we left, I heard a heartbreaking scream that haunted me to my core.

Kat's POV

We heard two cracks in the night air.  A Trembling Hermione holding onto who I assume is her dad appeared first.  Then a very disheveled Narcissa appeared with I'm guessing Hermione's mum.  Soon the rest of the rescue party appeared also disheveled and bloodied. I heard crying and the group parted and we saw Andromeda on the ground holding her husband.  Tonks cried out as she rushed to her parents.

"They had someone watching the Granger home.  They called more death eaters than our small group could handle. Bella was there." Narcissa said humbly.

"She did this.  She took him from me.  My own sister." Andromeda sobbed over Ted's body.

It was then my dad and the horcrux hunting party returned. They were also bloodied and dirty but all alive.

"Andy?  What happened?" Sirius asked as sadness filled his face.

Sirius and Narcissa ushered Andy and her daughter away.  Remus gently picked up Ted and followed.

"What has been happening here?" My father asked.

Tom immediately found the trembling Hermione and wrapped her in a hug.

"I'd like to know what's going on as well?" The probable Mr. Granger asked.

"We can certainly figure this out but first introductions.  I'm Kamen Dobrev and you are?" My dad asked.

"I'm George Granger and this is my wife Henrietta Granger.  Our daughter is Hermione." George said.

"We'll get to explaining everything to you once I'm caught up." My father said.

Then Narcissa rejoined us.

"I'll explain.  Sirius is staying with my sister and niece.  While you were gone Ginny reached out to us that Hogwarts was in lock down.  Letters weren't getting in or out.  They used a distraction to get us this letter.  Ginny detailed that the British ministry had taken control of Hogwarts and it was under Umbridge's control. 

Ginny explained that she started with blood quills.  But eventually she was able to remove Headmaster McGonagall and with that last layer of protection gone she began using crucio on students.  The twins planned a coup to get themselves out with Hermione, Ron, and Ginny. 

I sent Kat, Reggie, and Tonks to retrieve them safely.  Please don't be mad at me.  Your daughter made the most sense as she has a connection to the school.  They were successful in bringing everyone back here to safety.

It also resulted in giving the Bulgarian ministry an in to take out Umbridge.  Kat discovered she wasn't the only Bulgarian student and that student had been abused which gave your ministry the right to go in and charge that horrid lady.  Hogwarts was saved.  Umbridge is being held by your ministry.  Hermione voiced her concerns about her parents being in danger.

She was right.  We went this evening to save them.  They were being watched.  There was a fight to get them out.  We were heavily out numbered but we managed except.." Narcissa trailed off.

"And that's everything on our end." I finished for Narcissa.

"Right.  We often ran into death eaters but we completed our task.  There is only one left and that would be Nagini which is always with him." Kamen said.

"How did you get the one from Bella's Gringotts vault?" Narcissa asked.

"I simply told the goblins.  They don't want a cursed item in their bank.  They gave it to us without trouble." Kamen shrugged.

After that was done my father explained everything to the Grangers so that they fully understood.

After they sent us kids to bed while the adults and Tom began planning the defeat of Voldy.

A/N: this story is almost done.  And I apologize but there won't be smut.  I spent too much time on her youth and I can't stop seeing her as a child to write a scene like that.  I'm sorry.  😭
