Archie says to Geraldine "You're the music teacher.Can we talk about music?"
GUNSHOT IN DISTANCE
Archie says to Geraldine "We heard what we heard, and afterwards we didn't do anything!"
Geraldine says to Archie "How would we explain why we were together at 6:00 a.m. on the 4th of July?"
At the football filed
Betty says to Veronica "Polly and Jason dated,and Jason hurt Polly."
At sweetwood River
Kevin says to Moose "Oh, my God, Jason. He was shot."
Tom on the speaker
Tom says to everyone "Jason's death is now being treated as a homicide."
In the science classroom
Cheryl says to Waldo "They'll find out soon enough. That I'm guilty."

Guilt, innocence.Good, evil.Life, death.As the shadows around Riverdale deepened, the lines that separated these polar opposites blurred and distorted."I'm guilty," Cheryl said in Biology class.But of what?
In the principal's office
Cheryl says to Tom "To clarify,I didn't mean I was guilty of killing Jason.I loved him more than I do myself.But I am guilty of lying about what happened on July 4th.
Tom says to Cheryl "The autopsy puts his death about July 11th. When was the last time you saw your brother?"
Cheryl says to Tom "It was July 4th.I don't know what happened the week after that, but..."
Tom says to Cheryl "Cheryl, in your own words, what happened at Sweetwater River?"
Cheryl says to Tom "The plan was bananas, even for me.Jason wanted to leave Riverdale and never come back.
He asked for my help to stage a tragic accident, so that our mom and dad wouldn't come after him. Our story would be, we went for an early morning boat ride, and the boat tipped, and capsized, and Jason drowned. In fact, we made it to the
other side dry as bones.We said goodbye on the Greendale side of Sweetwater River.He promised he'd call me as soon as he was in a place
where he couldn't be reached or pulled back by our parents.One month, at the most.Every day, I waited for him to call, for an email."
Tom says to Cheryl "You tell anyone about the plan?Any way that you can corroborate it? And you have no idea why your brother wanted to run away,
fake his own death? Doesn't that seem cruel?"
Cheryl says to Tom "No, he wasn't... Jason wasn't cruel."
Tom says to Cheryl "So maybe this is all just a web of lies you're spinning to
cover your own tracks."
Cheryl says to Tom "I didn't kill Jason! There was a gunshot that morning.We heard a gunshot on July 4th. Maybe whoever killed Jason took a shot at him,and missed that morning."
Tom says to Cheryl "You heard a gunshot, and you're just telling us this now?"
Cheryl says to Tom "I was upset. My brother was murdered."
Tom says to Cheryl "So upset that you sang and danced at a pep rally yesterday."
DOOR SLAMMING
Penelope and Clifford
Clifford says to Tom and Waldo "What the hell is going on here?"
CHERYL says to Penelope"Mommy."
Penelope says to Cheryl "Don't say another word, Cheryl.Get up. Why didn't you call us?"
Cheryl gets up

CLIFFORD says to Penelope "Because
she's a liar, Penelope."
Penelope says to Cheryl "When we get home, you're telling us everything."
Penelope,Clifford and Cheryl walked out of the school
At the Cooper's house in Betty's bedroom
Alice says to Betty "Hot off the presses."
Betty says to Alice "Mom.First you leak Jason Blossom's autopsy report, and now this?"
Betty stands up
Alice says to Betty "People are loving the coverage."
Betty says to Alice "You have to stop sensationalizing this horrible thing."
Alice says to Betty "It's news, Betty. We own the Riverdale Register.
We have a responsibility to keep the people informed."
Betty says to Alice "Whatever Jason did to Polly, he's still a person."
Alice says to Betty "You reap what you sow."
Betty says to Alice "You should be writing about the real story.What happened to Jason?Who was holding him captive? Why was he frozen?
And who shot that gun on July 4th?"
Alice says to Betty "Well, if you are so keen on reporting,why don't you come work with your father and me? The Register could really use a Lois Lane type like you."
At the music room
Archie looking at Geraldine playing her cello and walks off
In the Principal's office
Archie says to Tom "I think I know something that can help with the Blossom investigation.People are saying Cheryl heard a gunshot?
Tom says to Archie "That's what she's claiming, yes."
Archie says to Tom "I heard it, too.I was there that morning.I didn't say anything because at first,like everyone, I thought Jason had drowned.But then when the autopsy came out and said he died later..."
Tom says to Archie "What were you doing down at the river so early on July 4th?"
Archie says to Tom "Uh,working on some songs.I, uh write songs."
Tom says to Archie "Did you see who fired the shot?"
Archie says to Tom "No, sir."
Tom says to Archie "Were you alone?"
Archie says to Tom "No, sir."
Tom says to Archie "Who were you with?"

Geraldine says to Archie "Let's make it a 4th of July you'll never forget."
