Chapter 8

I felt cold, and alone. I was still outside, in the dark with bloody bodies of high school kids around me. I looked at the house where a bunch of high school kids are making out and getting drunk. And I was outside with a real problem. Why was everybody around me an idiot?! I fell to the ground and started to cry. I heard a very sarcastic clap coming from behind me. I jumped up out of fear and shock.

"Well, isn't this a sight to behold," the dark shadow said getting closer to the light. The light hit his face and I knew who it was. It was Tyler, Nathan's brother.

"W-What do you want," I began, "if you want to know where Nathan is-"

"I don't care where Nathan is!" he yelled, I backed up in shock, "this is his fault," Tyler said pointing to the bodies on the floor, "he made me lose my temper, and let's just say you don't want to be on the the reviving ends of my rage,"

"What do you want Tyler?" I asked

"I want to use you as a bargaining chip," he said, I gave him a confused look, "I need Nathan to come out of hiding, and since he loves you so much, might as well use you," he said

"No! I won't help you get Nathan!" I yelled at him. he ran at me (which is pretty fast), "I'm not giving you a choice, I was just telling you that I'm going to be using you," he said, "so please, don't scream it will be over quick. And you may live if Nathan decides to come and save you,"

Tyler came closer to me, I felt his hot breath on my neck. I saw in a split second that his teeth had come out. and as soon as I saw them, I felt a sharp pain in my lower neck area. Tyler was biting me, and was killing me. I looked around to see if I could hit him with something but everything was out of reach. All of the colors from the party started to fade away, "Nathan," I said in a low whisper, "I forgive you," I could feel myself getting light headed, as soon as I was about to breath my last breath, I felt my body hit the ground.

I couldn't make out what was happening but, I knew that Nathan was there with me. I saw Nathan and Tyler fighting, I heard Tyler say, "I was trying to protect you from this, you can't bring her into your life," he said pointing to me, "Don't you remember what happened to Lily?" Tyler asked. "Wait, who was Lily," I thought.

"Of course I remember her, you made me leave her, then when I left, you killed her!" Nathan yelled, you could feel his angry. He through Tyler like he was a price of trash. Tyler looked up and stared laughing. He looked angry and frustrated at Nathan, "why did you have to kill her, Tyler?!" Nathan yelled

"TO PROTECT YOU! DONT YOU UNDERSTAND THAT, SHE WAS GOING TO KILL YOU!" Tyler yelled

Nathan stepped towards Tyler, with an angry and confused face.

"What?" Nathan asked

"I can't talk to you here, we have to leave. But you should probably take care of Rose," Tyler said, looking down at me.

"Okay, but you promise to tell me everything when I get back?" Nathan asked

"Everything and more," Tyler promised

Tyler walked into the shadows and just like he appeared he was gone.

"Rose," Nathan said running to me, "I'm sorry I should have told you,"

I could barley speak. what I managed to get out was, "you came for me?" I asked

Nathan looked deep into my eyes. I felt safe even though I was looking death right in the face.

"I will always come for you," he said sweetly. Held me like a baby in his arms, I fell asleep to his shoes hitting the cement as we walked back home.
