Chapter 16

They stood there looking at me. There was Ben, Tyler, and then there was Nathan who looked the most worried. Tyler turned back to face Ben and said, "well isn't that to bad," he said in his sarcastic tone, "because she is with us," he said pointing to himself and Nathan. Ben looked at Nathan and Ben, he sized them up and turned to look at me. he walked towards me, but Nathan put a hand on Ben's shoulder, "I wouldn't do that if I were you," just as Nathan said that, his hand started to burn, he quickly moved it away

"And I wouldn't touch me, if I were you," Ben said in a cold and sickening voice. Ben moved towards me, again. He stopped right in front of me and touched my face.

"Come, Rose we need to talk," Ben said holding his hand out for me to take. I looked at Tyler and he shook his head, I looked over to Nathan and he looked just flat out angry. I took Ben's hand and he walked me away from the two brothers, I felt someone grab onto my arm and pull me back. It was Nathan, he whispered into my ear, "just call to me and I will be there," Ben quickly pulled me away.

Everything went out of focus, then I arrived in a house. I looked over at Ben, his wings were gone and replaced with a pair of jeans and a white T-shirt. He ushered me to the dining table. I sat down, he took the seat across from me.

"Why did you bring me here?" I asked

"This is my house, I thought you would feel more comfortable if we talked in a place we both knew," Ben said looking at me

"Okay, it makes sense," I said, "but what did you want to talk about?"

"About why I came for you," Ben said looking away, "Rose I came to stop a mistake that was going to happen to you in the future," he looked back at me with determination, "you were going to die, Nathan was going to lose control and snap your neck," I looked at him with shock on my face!

"I stopped that. I came to save you, from vampires. I know that it sounds crazy, but trust me I need to protect you from anything that could but harm onto you," he said grabbing my hand.

"Please trust me," I looked deep into his eyes, "I do. I do trust you," relief flooded over his face. I pulled my hand away, "is there anything else?"

"Yes, there is," he said, "I need you to stop hanging around Tyler and Nathan. They are nothing but trouble, and you know it," I stood up, "No! Ben you can't tell me how to live my life! It's mine, not yours!!" I ran to the front door and pulled it open and walked into the sunset of the day.

I whispered to myself, "Nathan, please I need you," just as soon as I said it I felt Nathan's arms go around me.

"Could you please take me home?" I asked looking up at Nathan. He grinned at me and said, "of course I will,"

And just like that I was home, I pushed Nathan away and ran into my house, to my room and fell, face first, into my bed. It had been a really long day and I just wanted to go to sleep. I closed my eyes and thought about what happened
