Chapter 19

I pushed myself away from Nathan. Feeling embarrassed and angry that Ben interrupted us! I take a step back and realize that a fountain is behind me. I fall backwards. Right before I hit the water I felt strong arms go around my body. and I felt like I was flying. My eyes were closed and when I opened them. I saw that Nathan was the one that caught me.

I looked back to see that the fountain is now at least 20 Ft away from us. I looked up at Nathan with shock on my face. He looked deep into my eyes,

"Are you okay?" He asked

I just look at him. I can't believe he just did that, he ran like a cheetah running to its prey

"I'm fine, just a little light headed," I said placing my hand n my forehead. I heard running fight, they were coming towards us. I look up and saw Ben running to us. I look at Nathan his jaw was clenched and he looked rigid and tense.

He stepped in front of me and said, "leave her alone Ben. Leave 'us'," he said pointing to me and him, "alone, go get a life. I mean a real one,"

"I can't, I have one duty down on this earth, and that is to keep Rose safe from you," Ben said pointing to Nathan, "and your joke of a brother," Ben says making his way towards me.

I step back and Nathan steps forward.

"I said leave us alone," Nathan said in a low voice.

"Sorry," Ben said looking at Nathan and then at me, "but I need you to stay away from Rose," he said leaning into Nathan.

Ben walked right pass Nathan and took my hand. And I shivered, by his warm touch. I looked deep into his eyes and he looked deep into mine. Then without warning I felt my body get flung into the air. I hit a tree and the air got knocked out of me.

I catch my breath and saw Nathan and Ben fighting. Nathan's vampire teeth were out and his hands were in fists. Ben had his large angelic angel wings out and was sort of flying a little bit higher than Nathan, sort of like taunting him.

"You need to stay away from us," Nathan said yelling to Ben

"No, you need to stay away before you make an even bigger mistake," Ben said looking down at Nathan than looking at me. Ben's eyes go wide with shock, I look down at my arm and see a huge gash in my arm and it is dripping blood. I look at Ben and than at Nathan.

Nathan swallowed and closed his eyes trying not to look at me or the blood around me. I guess the urge was to strong. He ran to me with blood lust in his eyes. I screamed. Just as I screamed I felt two needles go into my neck. Nathan was biting me.

I was kicking him and punching, but the urge was just to strong for him, I guess. He sank his teeth in deeper. Ben came over and started kicking Nathan but Nathan didn't care he just kept on drinking my blood. I could feel myself loosing all of my blood. Just before I closed my eyes I whispered, "please Nathan, just stop," but I was to late. I fell to the ground and I saw Nathan snap out of the blood lust and he looked down at me and started crying, I think. he came in close to my ear, "I'm sorry, please forgive me,"

I looked at him, "Nathan please, stop,"I said closing my eyes and a tear escaped. Everything around me felt peaceful and cold.
