Chapter 21

🌹Rose POV🌹

I felt cold, alone and mostly dead. Maybe because I was DEAD! I was still looking at Nathan in complete and utter shock! 'I was a vampire?' I said in my head

"Yes you are," Nathan said, not looking at me.

"What?" I asked him.

"You are a vampire," he repeated

"How did you know I thought that?" I asked him

"Because I can... um," Nathan said looking at the ground, "read your mind,"

I looked up at him in shock, he could read my mind!? Does that mean he knows I like him?

"Oh," I said not quiet meeting his gaze.

"Rose," Nathan said, "look at me," I did as he asked me and looked at him, and I wish I hadn't. He looked like he was in pain and that the guilt was sitting in his shoulders, literally!

"I'm so sorry, I did this to you Rose," Nathan whispered, "it was a stupid, reckless, and careless mistake!" Nathan started to rub his hands uncomfortable on his lap. I placed my hand over his and he immediately stopped and looked at me. 'I forgive you,' I thought to myself. Even though I couldn't say it out loud yet. I knew I could at least think it.

I knew Nathan heard me because relief instantly ran across his face. He smiled at me and I smiled back. I felt myself getting warmer and I knew I was blushing, but I didn't care I was just happy that I got to look at Nathan's gorgeous face.

I heard someone clear there throat behind us. I turned around to find Ben looking very uncomfortable looking down at me and Nathan. I jumped up and walked over to him. He kept his stare on my the whole time. Without even thinking I hugged Ben, I don't even now why I did this. I guess Ben looked like he needed a hug.

He whispered In my ear, "I'm glad you are still you," I pulled away from him and looked at him, "what do you mean by that?" I asked him.

"I thought you would be different when you turned into, ...into," Ben said looking at me, "a vampire,"

I hugged him again, "I'm me, and I will never change," he pulled me close, "I know you won't," we pulled away from each other, and just looked at each other. I poked his side and he started ticking me. I fell to the floor laughing. Pretty soon Nathan helped me up. I looked at my phone to see that my two partners in crime had been calling and texting me, 'great, lucky me. I get to be yelled at twice in one day! Yeah me!' I thought to myself and Nathan started laughing. "Hey that's not fair! You can't just pop into my head and listen into my thoughts!" Nathan laughed even louder. I rolled my eyes.

I suddenly smelt the most delicious thing I have every smelled in my whole life! I turned around to see that Ben had got a cut on his finger, his eyes widened in shock and fear. I ran towards him, but before I could reach him. I felt two strong arms wrap around me, "Rose no!" Nathan said, "come on you can handle this! Be stronger than the impulse!"

I pushed Nathan away and ran to Ben. I looked at the blood dripping from his finger and I wanted it, I NEEDED it! I was about to sink my teeth into his neck, when I felt Nathan drag me away from him. I screamed for him to let me go, but every time I got loose form his grip. His arms would become even more tighter around my waist.

"Ben," Nathan yelled, "RUN, quickly and go get Tyler. RUN!"

Without any thought or hesitation Ben was gone. I was still ripping to get out of Nathan's arms so that I could sink my teeth into Ben's juicy neck. Nathan pulled me close to him, I felt his warmth and I felt safe and protected. When I stopped thinking about Ben and his fresh blood. I looked up at Nathan and started to bawl, like a little baby.
