Chapter 1

"Rose," "Rose"
I was dreaming and all I could hear was a person whispering my name

"Rose" the shadow said "Rose I will find you, an when I do we will be together forever!" The shadow yelled

I sat up in a cold sweat

"Holy Crap," I whispered to myself

I looked at the clock, it said:
6:45

I jumped out of bed and took a hot shower. I got into my stupid school uniform and went down stairs.

My dad was seated at the counter reading the newspaper.

He looked and said
"Hey sweetie, how did you sleep?"

"Oh you know, went to a party the night before and got a huge hangover."
I replied

My dad looked at her, his face was pure white.

"I'm just kidding dad, it was fine."
I laughed

"Oh don't scary your father like that!"
My dad started laughing with me.

My dad and I became best friends when my mom had died. My mom had gotten really sick when I had just turned 6 and my dad knew that she was going to die. My dad had been so strong and willing to help my mom all the way to her last breath.

My dad had always told me that I had hair like my mom and eyes like her as well. I had fiery red hair, and light green eyes that looked hard and stiff. But my moms looked nice and comforting.

They finally found out that they needed to keep there loved ones close. That we need to hold on to the ones that have been with us forever.

"So do you have anything fun at school today?"
My dad asked

Oh, how I hate school. It was like a hurricane of gossip, big opinions and raging hormones. Not to mention the boys! Who were even worse then the ones in middle school!

"Nope, nothing really I have a test in biology, but that's pretty much it."

School had just started, which meant a bunch of test and absolutely no sleep.

"Well I hope you, Kaytie & Felicia do good on all of the test that you will be taking."

Oh. my two closest partners in crime were Kaytie Gillwash, who was a totally control freak and the total mom of our group. Then there was Felicia Philmore, who was absolutely the fun goofy person of the group. If I had to do something embarrassing, Felicia was always there by my side doing it with me. All of us were in 10th grade and have been best friends since pre-school.

"Thanks dad."

Just then I heard a honk from outside

"Well that's Kaytie, I will see ya after school, dad"
I said quickly running out of the house.

"Bye, love you."

I literally ran and got in to the car quickly.

"Hey Rose, did you know that somebody is moving into the house next door?"
Felicia asked

"Oh wow, I thought nobody was going to buy that house."
I replied confused at the "SOLD" on the sign that was in the yard.

Kaytie pulled out of the driveway and started down the road toward our school. I was looking at the house and got a feeling that something bad was going to happen.
