Chapter 20

✨Nathan's POV✨

I looked down at Rose. She looked cold and lifeless, 'what have I done?!' I thought to myself. I set Rose down on the ground beside me. I looked up at Ben, he looked mad and scared. I got up and Ben walked up to me. He looked into my eyes with complete and utter disgust!

I kept my gaze on Rose. Her face was pale. My gaze landed on her neck and I saw two bloody dots on her neck from where I bit her. Then without warning, Ben punched me in the face. I fell to the ground next to Roses body. I looked up at Ben, I jumped up and pushed him to the ground.

"Don't ever touch me again!" I yelled at Ben.

"You should have never meet Rose, and you know that Nathan!" Ben said. And it was true. I never should have meet Rose, and if I did I was supposed to run away from her. But instead I ran to her.

"You don't think I know that!" I said, "I screwed up, Ben. And I should have ran away from her I was drawn to her,"

"Exactly, you didn't listen to me and you ended up killing her," Ben said pointing to Roses lifeless body on the ground, "you knew that this was going to happen to her!"

"I know," I said looking at Ben. She was never going to wake up. I really did kill her. Like everyone close to me. The only person I had left in my life was Tyler and sometimes he isn't even with me. So when Rose came into the picture I got so excited I didn't want to see her leave me ever again.

"So why did you bite her?" Ben asked.

"I don't know, Ben," I said not quite meeting his gaze, "I guess that I was scared that she was just going to leave with you, like she always does,"

"Nathan, you don't have to be jealous of me and her," Ben said. I look up at his eyes, "in fact I don't even like Rose anymore, she is more of a sister to me. The person I do like is Kaytie Gilwash!" Ben screamed. I look at him in complete shock! He looked back at me, and started to blush.

"I mean I care about Kaytie and Rose, but my feelings go deeper for Kaytie," Ben said

"Yeah sure, whatever. I can't deal with you angel hormones right now!"

"Whatever Nathan,"

Ben started to walk away from me. I grabbed the collar of his plaid shirt and through him to the ground. He landed with a 'thud' he looked up at me. He jumped up and punched me hard in the face! I stumbled backwards trying to focus on what's in front of me. after a couple of seconds everything came clear again and I saw Ben about to punch me again.

I grasped his fist and put him into a headlock. Ben started choking and hitting me in the arm and my chest. I smirked at my work. As Bens punches be came weaker, I was about to snap his neck. The I heard something, rustling in the trees behind Ben and I. I heard a moan, I looked over at Rose to see her move a little bit. I looked at her in shock. 'But...that's impossible!' I thought to myself.

I released Ben from the headlock and he started to cough, and rubbing his neck. Ben got to his feet and came at me, "what was that for," Ben said yelling at me, "I could have died, and it would have been on your head! Then there would be 2 deaths you would be accountable for!" I held up a finger to Ben telling him to be quiet.

Ben looked around me and looked at Rose. His eyes widened in shock, "but that's impossible?!" Ben said to me in a whisper.

"I know," I said looking down at Rose.

I moved to her and sat next to her. I took her hand into mine. She moaned and began screaming in pain! Ben ran over to her but I stopped him, "it's her teeth coming in," I informed Ben, "it will be over quick," and it was as soon as I said this she stopped screaming and opened her eyes.

They were still warm, be she wasn't. She was as cold as me now and I hated it! She looked at Ben then me, "what happened?" Me and Ben looked at each other, "Nathan bit you," Ben said. I looked up at Ben I was angry and upset, 'thanks Ben, not like I couldn't say that?!' She looked up at me with shock and anger in her eyes!

"You did what!?" Rose yelled
