My Green Eyed Kryptonite (Supercorp)

Chapter 1

Kara's POV

"Shoot shoot shoot!" I yell waking up way past my alarm.

I use my super speed and quickly change into my work clothes. I scarf down a bagel, walking out of my apartment, only to realize I don't have my glasses on. I run back in my apartment and put them on.

"Frick it!" I whisper yell to myself. "Guess I'll just fly to work today." And with that, I use my windows as an exit, flying to CatCo Worldwide Media.

Alex has been on my butt lately about flying to work because I could be seen. She also wants me to get used to driving but every time I get in a car with her she looks like she's having a heart attack almost every time. I think it's safer for the world if I stick to flying instead.

"Rao, Snapper is going to kill me." I mumble landing on the top of the building. I quickly walk down the fire exit until I get to the floor I work on and try my best to make it to my desk without being caught.

Just with my luck, I hear my boss's snappy, annoying voice, "Ms. Danvers!"

I clench my jaw and turn around. "Where were you?" He snaps immediately.

"I-I was just...well you see"

"Danvers, if you're going to try to lie to me, then at least be better at lying." He says cutting me off.

"You'd be surprised..." I mumbled until he snapped again. "Well get to work! Don't just stand there like a deer."

"I— y-yes sir." I say nervously pushing my glasses up my face more and head to my office quickly.

After working my butt off all day it's time for lunch and I get a text from my favorite person ever.

Lena💗

Do you wanna go grab lunch with me? I could really use a change of scenery

Of course! How about I pick us up Big Belly Burger then we can go eat in the park, the scenery is beautiful there?

I finish up what I was typing on my computer and order our food so it will be ready when I get there. I soon get our food and walk to L Corp. I get told to head up to her office and so I do just that.

"There's my favorite reporter!" I hear when I walk through the doors to her office. I barely have time to set our food down before she engulfs me in a hug. I wrap my arms around her waist squeezing.

"Should we get going?" I ask checking my watch.

"Yeah just let me grab my coat." She says and then I grab the bag of food before we leave.

Lena drives to our destination. I came up with the brilliant idea to put the heater on and hold the bag of food up to it so it doesn't get too cold.

When we get there I direct us towards a bench which might actually be the exact bench Alex came out to me on.

We get our food out and start eating. I take my first bite and moan out loud. "Sorry." I say blushing. "I was starving."

Lena giggles as she looks around us and then says, "It's so beautiful, so much better than my office."

I agree as we continue eating and soon we're both finished. Lena didn't finish her fries so I did for her as we drive to my work. "God Kara, I don't know where you put it." She says reaching one hand off the steering wheel to poke at my stomach.

I laugh as she does this and eventually we pull up to CatCo. Lena tried to argue that she could walk me up to my office but I told her I would be fine. So we settled for a hug as I then walk up to work.

I already miss Lena so I quickly texted her asking her if she'll come over tonight to watch a movie or something and she said yes within seconds.

Later that day, I head home and get dressed into something more comfortable. I change into grey sweatpants, a white low cut t shirt, and a cardigan. I clean the apartment up some and light a candle so it smells good.

As I'm waiting around for Lena to come by Alex calls me. "Hey Alex." I say putting her on speaker phone.

"Kara, I'm freaking out! Maggie's birthday is coming up and I have no idea what to do for her. She's just so stubborn and already told me not to do anything."

"Well you obviously aren't going to listen right?" As I say this, there's a knock on the door. I quickly x-ray it to see it's the beauty herself, Lena. I quickly unlock the door but motion towards my phone so she doesn't say anything.

"What about just doing something she likes? Alex, maybe you can bring her to a shooting range, she loves guns almost more than you." I say with a laugh at the end. "Actually, why don't you throw a surprise birthday party here?"

"Okay, maybe I'll bring her to the shooting range while you decorate? I got to go sis, love you!" She says.

I began to say "I love you too" but she hung up mid sentence. "Rude!" I say shocked to Lena who just sat at my kitchen counter laughing at me.

"Is that what I think it is?" I ask, staring at the box in Lena's hand, my mouth already watering.

She nods while smiling and I blurt out, "I could kiss you right now!" I take the box from her hand and get two plates out. I put the potstickers on the two plates and nearly gag as I see Lena's kale. Lena giggles at me as I hand her the plate while plugging my nose. I walk back to the kitchen and then walk back to the living room with my plate and we put a movie on while eating.

"Ew, Lena! That is so gross." I say as her kale randomly hits my nose again. Lena smirks as she gets really close to my face. I feel my cheeks began to feel hot but then get disappointed as she starts to blow her nasty kale breath in my face. Why did I feel disappointed though?

"Ew Lena! Stop!" I say giggling trying to act mad as I put my hands on her face blocking her.

I feel Lena giggle against my cheek as she moves her face away. I forget about my potstickers for a few seconds... until I basically inhale them like there's no tomorrow. I could eat potstickers for every meal for the rest of my life.

I eventually clean up our mess and sit back down beside Lena on the couch. Watching the movie didn't last that long, considering that we started conversations all through out it.

I know I need to tell Lena I'm Supergirl but I like that I don't have to be Supergirl or anyone else with her. When I'm with her I'm just Kara Danvers and that's enough. She actually once told me that I was her hero even though Supergirl was the one that saved her. Still to this day, she has no idea how much that sentence impacted me.

Our night comes to an end when Alex calls me telling me she needs me at the DEO.

I apologize to Lena, telling her my sister needs my help. She of course, just smiles and tells me how much she enjoyed tonight. She always understands and never asks questions. It's one of the things I love about her, her understanding of things. She hugs me and I can feel her lips move against my neck as she says, "I'll be here Friday for game night."

I squeeze her tighter and say, "Can't wait."

When she leaves, I change into my supergirl suit and fly to the DEO.

Time to kick Alien ass.
