My Green Eyed Kryptonite (Supercorp)

Chapter 7

Lena's POV

Shopping for groceries is such a simple thing to do, yet people think it's the most unexpected thing of me to do. Even though I'm a filthy rich CEO, I'm still human and I still would like to drive myself to the grocery store and get the goodies.

When in the middle of grocery shopping, what I didn't expect to see was Kara's sister, Alex.

"Lena?" Alex says making me turn away from the ice cream I was just about to buy.

"Alex? Hey, it's so good to see you!" I say giving her a quick hug.

I peek in her cart and surprisingly see a lot of healthy options. "Oh, those are Maggie's." She says making a face that's similar to my own. "I haven't gotten to my kind of isle yet." She laughs.

"Hey Lena, are you seeing anyone?"Alex asks surprising me.

"Alex, I'm flattered but—"

"No! Not for me, for my...umm... friend." She says as if she confused herself.

I laugh and say, "Well you can tell whoever your friend is that I am not currently seeing anyone but am going through a confusing path of attraction to someone right now."

I know that what I feel for Kara is way more than attraction but I don't think I want to admit that just yet. Now that I'm standing in front of Alex, I have the urge to tell her everything that her sister is making me feel but I think I should figure it out on my own first.

Alex gets a little closer and says, "Kara told me she told you." I turn my head in confusion then realize what she's talking about. "It was killing Kara not telling you and she cares about you more than anyone on this planet, besides me so it means a lot to her that you understood where she was coming from."

I smile, "Kara means everything to me...more than I can even comprehend sometimes."

I say this because it is undoubtedly the truth. I met Kara when I was in a bad place. On the outside I seemed so put together and like I had my life together but on the inside I was a train wreck. Kara eventually became the sunshine in my life that I didn't know I needed...that I didn't know I wanted.

"She does that to people." Alex says with a smile. "Hey...Kara and I are actually making a family trip to Midvale to stay with our mom for a few days, I don't know if she's mentioned it to you." I quickly shake my head no, wondering where this is going or why she's telling me this.

"Maggie is coming with me and I don't want Kara to be alone or have to third wheel so why don't you come with us?" Before I can even talk about work, Alex beats me to it. "You're literally the owner of your own company and the boss, so work isn't an excuse."

I honestly don't know why I'm trying to get out of this. I would love to spend time with Kara, especially in the town she grew up in after coming to Earth. "Alright." I let fall past my lips.

"Alright." Alex says smiling like she just won a million dollars on a lottery ticket. "Be ready by 10:00 tomorrow morning, we're all taking the same car and we'll pick you up."

Alex pats my back as she leaves to go in whatever isle she went in. I finish up grocery shopping and try not to get anything frozen since there's no point since I won't be back home for a couple of days. I pay then drive back home and put away all the groceries I got.

I call my assistant and tell her I'll be away for a couple of days and to try to keep things organized. While doing this I get a text message from Kara.

Kara💓
Alex told me what she did, I'm sorry if you felt you had no other choice but to come.

Another text message comes through not even a second of me ending the call.

Kara💓
If you still want to get out of it, now's your chance!!

No one will be trying to get out of anything on my end:)

This will be Kara and I's first time spending more than a day together so I'm slightly nervous.

Kara💓
I need to pack then go to sleep, good night :) I am so looking forward to the next few days.

Me
Kara, you realize you have super powers, you can use super speed to do it.

After about 10 minutes, I start to assume she fell asleep but then my phone dings on my bed.

Kara💓
Thanks for the reminder, already took a shower, packed, cleaned, and am now laying in bed :)

I joke and and respond back, "I don't even know what time I'll get to bed, I need to pack and shower. Come save me Supergirl." Within seconds I hear a knock on my door. I walk over and look through the peephole and see Kara. What is she doing here?

I open the door and she immediately steps in, inviting herself in, not that that I mind. "Sorry." She laughs as she shuts the door for me. "I didn't feel like putting my suit on to fly here."

Now that she says this, I take her in and she's wearing her usual night time clothes which are sweatpants, a shirt, and a cardigan along with a messy bun. She doesn't even have her glasses on. "Kara, I was joking! You didn't need to come here just to help me."

"No, I wanted to." She says with a serious pout. "Besides, I'm excited for the next couple of days, so the faster I can help you pack and get to bed the faster tomorrow will come."

I smile knowing she's excited. I think it may have something to do with me coming but I'm not going to say anything. "Well follow me then." I say grabbing her hand to lead her to my room.

"Oh my rao..." Kara says and I follow her gaze and see most of my clothes on my bed scattered everywhere.

So I may have tried to pack a little bit earlier...

"Lena, we're only going away for a couple of days, this isn't a 2 week vacation." Kara says looking at me.

"I know I know, I was just having trouble with what to wear earlier then got distracted." I say.

Kara walks closer to my bed and then all I see is a flash around my bed. A couple seconds later, my clothes are in a suitcase and she even hung the rest of clothes in my closet. "I picked your outfits, I can't wait to see you in—" Kara cuts herself off with a cough.

"Well I'll get going now, good night Lena." Kara says wrapping me in her familiar arms.

It would definitely be a little bit awkward if Kara super sped washed me while in the shower so I mumble "bye" inhaling her scent.

She begins to walk to the door but as she opens it I say, "Thank you Kara, be safe on your way back."

"Of course." She says with a smile then jumps to fly back to her apartment.
