Chapter 20

Kara's POV

"Are you out of your damn mind Kara!" Alex yells, her voice echoing off the walls of the DEO. "You can't come out to the world has Supergirl!"

"Alex, I'm so sick of lying to people, it is beyond exhausting." I say sadly looking at her. "I don't want to hear about how people I love is in danger anymore because of me. The reason they're in danger is because the enemies want them to get to me. I'm sick of it! If I were me, j-just me then it wouldn't happen!"

"Kara, you're not even making any sense right now." She says holding her temple. She puts her arm up at me, waving me off "Go home and relax with your girlfriend."

Alex walks away and I groan loudly. I decide to blow off some steam and walk to to the training room. I spend about 2 hours working out and then fly to my apartment. I take a shower since I did work up a little sweat and throw on sweatpants and a muscle tank top. I'm not planning on going out so I don't really think I need to put on a whole outfit.

How did the conversation with Alex go?

I'm sorry, why don't you come to my place? We can watch a disney movie to cheer you up.

You know me so well, I love you ❤️I'll be over in a flash. Literally

I fly out my window to Lena's, making sure to be higher than the human eye can see. I honestly wouldn't care that much if someone saw me without my suit. Alex would actually kill me though. I land in Lena's backyard and go in through her patio door. "Baby?" I yell once I'm inside. I hear footsteps coming from her bedroom and she comes around the corner. "Come here." She says walking over to me. I wrap my arms around her torso and my head goes to her chest. "You promised me movies." I mumble peeking up at her.

She pulls back and kisses me, "I did do that, didn't I?" She says walking over to her movie collection that's under her coffee table. "Which will it be tonight?"

"Beauty and the Beast! Wait no!" I'm forgetting literally all my favorite disney movies. "Rapunzel!" I say snapping my fingers with a smile.

Luckily, Lena takes the movie and puts it in the tv for us. Before she hits play, she makes us a bowl of popcorn and gets a water for us. I very obviously glance at her every few seconds. Finally she sits down next to me with the popcorn in her lap and hits play. I hold Lena's hand in my left hand and reach for the popcorn with my right hand.

"I never even realized. You're literally wearing a wife-beater tank top." Lena says as she eyes me from my chest down to the bottom of my tank top.

"What do you mean?" I ask furrowing my eyebrows in confusing. "I would never beat my wife up. I can't believe you would—"

Lena kisses my lips making me shut up. "Honey, it's just a reference. People like to call the tank top you're wearing right now a "wife-beating" tank top. I know you would never beat me up." I nod trying to understand. What I do know is that I'm never wearing this tank top again.

When we're done with the popcorn, Lena sets it to the side of her coffee table and snuggles up to me. She puts her legs across my lap so she's basically facing me but she's watching the tv. My hands naturally rest across her legs and I find myself watching her as she watches the movie. It's pitch black in here besides the tv light that's illuminating her face. She's perfect. The only time I finally look away is when my favorite scene comes on.

I open my eyes and see it's pitch black. Nooooo. I fell asleep again. I always fall asleep when Lena and I watch movies. "Let's go sleep in my room honey." Lena says tucking my hair behind my ear.

I nod and manage to get up and walk to her room with only bumping into a wall once. I step out of my sweatpants, leaving me in my underwear and crawl into my girlfriend's comfy bed. I watch Lena walk in and slide shorts and a t shirt on. She then makes eye contact with me and jumps on top of me. "I think I might just sleep like this the whole night." She says as she's completely on top of me.

I wrap my arms around her petite body and hold her. "I think you should." I say with a smile even though she can't see it. We get under the covers but Lena gets right back in the same position.

"I love you Kara and hopefully something can work out between you and Alex. You both just need a proper conversation with each other to explain your thoughts and feelings to each other." She says with her eyes shut and a little rasp to her voice.

"Thank you Lena, I love you." I say playing with her hair. " Give me a good night kiss."

Lena lifts her head and kisses me hard but not anything sexual. "Try not to sleep fly tonight, please."

I nod and hold her until I feel her breathing go completely calm then I drift off as well.
