Chapter 15

Lena's POV

After things dialed down in the living room, I walk into Kara's bedroom. She's laying flat on her stomach with her head laying down on her arms that are crossed. "Why'd you laugh." She asks. Is she actually upset because I laughed? It didn't even sound like she was asking a question, it's like she was demanding for an answer.

"Honey, it was funny." I say honestly and sit down next to her. I run my fingers through her hair.

"No, it was embarrassing." She says groaning. "They all know now that I'm in love with you."

"What if I'm just as in love with you?" I say laying down beside her so she can see me.

"What?" She says sitting up, her full attention on me.

"I love you, Kara." I say with so much love in my eyes. God, I love her so much.

Kara smiles as she forcefully brings her body to mine. "I love you, Lena."

She kisses me and this kiss is different from all the other ones. I think I've been in love with Kara for far more long then I'm letting on.

Suddenly Kara pulls away to say, "Be mine." Kara gets up and paces, "I-I want to be able to say that you're mine and mine only. Rao, Lena...this...you, is all that I want. Please."

She is my adorable dork and mine only. "Yes, my love. I've been yours since the day I met you." I say standing up to kiss her.

Kara backs away first. "Should we tell them now?" She asks biting her lip. She looks so excited it's adorable.

"If you're okay with that." I say back.

She nods and grabs my hand, walking out of her bedroom and back into the living room. No one has moved since we left. As soon as we come into view everyone's eyes land on us. Their eyes eventually travel down and see that our hands are intertwined. Kara bring our hands to her lips and leaves a soft kiss on my hand. "We're together. Deal with it, not my problem." She says. I didn't expect her to be so aggressive but I'm not complaining.

"You didn't tell me!? Kara Danvers! We literally talked about it only a couple days ago! When did this happen?" Alex says in shock as she stands up accusingly.

Kara wraps an arm around my lower waist and says, "I-It happened in Midvale..."

"What!?" Maggie cuts in to yell this time. "I was there the entire time and I'm just finding out? I'm betrayed."

"We don't want to make it a big deal, so please let's move on." I say. Kara walks over to the couch and sits down in the same place she was in before but this time she doesn't even try to make room for me and ends up just dragging me down on her lap, I kiss the side of her head and eventually everyone falls into conversation that doesn't revolve of us as the center.

When everyone starts to leave, Nia doesn't forget to mention, "It was so obvious, I've been waiting for this to happen." She says winking at us as she leaves. Kara and I both look at each other and smile. We tell Maggie Happy Birthday again and Alex stays to help clean the apartment up and take the decorations down. When she finally leaves, Kara and I have the apartment to ourselves.

"Finally I get you all to myself." She says tucking my hair behind my ear and I feel her body press against my back.

"I could say the same...girlfriend."

"Mmm, say it again." Kara says turning me around in her arms.
