My Green Eyed Kryptonite (Supercorp)

Chapter 9

Lena's POV

"No, please tell me everything." I say barely saying through laughter.

We're all sitting in the living room and Alex and Eliza are telling childhood stories of Kara when she was younger.

Eliza begins to tell another story and from the left of me, Kara groans rolling her eyes. She must know this one.

"So we all know Kara holds grudges right? Well her and her sister had gotten into it the night before and the next day Alex had fallen asleep in the car and so Kara tied Alex's hair in a knot behind the seat." Eliza says finishing.

"AND the knot was so bad, I had to cut my hair off after that." Alex says eyeing Kara.

"Well what about when you made me watch The Shining? Huh? I had nightmares for weeks." Kara says crossing her arms.

"Kara, you were 15!" Alex says rolling her eyes.

"So?" Kara smarts back.

"You were the one that wanted to watch it dumbass." Alex says as they laugh.

"Language, Alex." Eliza says sternly at her.

"My favorite memories were when Kara would take me flying. We got in trouble so many times though. Lena, you have to let Kara take you flying at night." Alex says.

Before I can answer, Kara says for me, "Lena's scared of heights." True.

"It's like an out of body experience, trust me, you won't regret it." Alex says.

"Alright, that's enough talk for the night. How about we all get ready for bed then maybe we can all watch a movie out here tonight? I'll make popcorn." Eliza says suggesting.

We all agree and head back to the bedroom. Kara and I get our night clothes on, on her side of the room while Alex and Maggie get dressed on Alex's side of the room. I put shorts on with a light sweatshirt and use a makeup wipe to get my makeup off. I look up and see that Kara is also wearing a pair of shorts with a low v t shirt. She puts a cardigan on as usual and takes her makeup off.

I don't know where I got the confidence from but before walking out of the room I whisper in Kara's ear, "You look beautiful." There's something about Kara, especially at the end of the day when she has no makeup on, hair in a bun, and sweatpants on that just makes her so effortlessly beautiful. She's a real life angel sent to Earth. Well alien...

When I get downstairs I help Eliza make popcorn. We make three bowls. One that Alex and Maggie can share, one that Kara and I can share, and one that Eliza can eat.

When we've made the couch comfy enough with blankets, we move the recliner chair so it's also in front of the tv. Eliza sits in it and starts munching on her popcorn. Soon Kara, Alex, and Maggie come downstairs. Kara looks at me with a shy smile and sits down on the couch next to me.

"Guess we're stuck on the floor, Danvers." Maggie says patting her girlfriend, sitting in front of us.

They're not completely sitting on the floor though. Eliza and I made sure to put thicker blankets down there.

I feel hot air start to tickle my neck as Kara's voice comes through to my ear, "You look beautiful as well Lena." I feel my cheeks heat up and I know I can't hide it because I have no makeup products on. I mumble out "Thank you."

"So what movie are we watching?" Maggie asks.

"Horror!" Alex blurts out.

"You know your sister gets nightmares." Eliza says directed towards Alex.

"She is a grown woman, she can handle a scary movie!" Alex says.

Kara just sinks in closer and closer to me, "Yeah! I can handle a scary movie, p-promise."

That's very convincing....

Maggie and I have never seen The Shining so Alex decided to put that on even though She and Kara had seen it before.

Kara and I have the whole couch to ourselves, yet she is sitting on the same cushion as me. We're both under the same blanket and she's so close to me that you might as well call us one person.

Not even 20 minutes into the movie, Kara screams and hides into me. "Seriously, Kara?" Alex asks.

"What? I don't remember much, it's been a long time." Kara says attempting to defend herself.

I let a laugh out and Kara very softly punches me and mumbles, "It's true."

I put my arm around her and Kara leans fully into me. She leans her head up so she can look at me, and whispers, "My protector."

"I'll always protect you, Supergirl." I say and kiss her forehead. Kara immediately hides her face by looking back at the television.

By the end of the movie Kara was laying across me on my lap with her head near the arm rest, curled into me and her legs on the other side of me. I was basically holding her bridal style in my lap. As uncomfortable as you thought it would be, it was actually slightly comfortable or comforting since it was Kara. She wasn't fooling anyone, anyone could tell she was scared shitless.

When the movie finished Kara was asleep and Eliza being the mom she is had to take pictures of her youngest who is also a grown woman sleeping on another grown woman's lap because of a scary movie. Alex and Maggie were giggling the whole time and Eliza told them to be quiet multiple times.

This is the first time I'm feeling what it's like to be in a family or what a family is even supposed to feel like. My family and I never had game nights, or movie nights like this. All this is because of Kara and she has no idea how grateful I am for her.

Eliza goes to wake her up after she takes the pictures but I stop her. "It's okay, I got it." I situate my arms underneath her legs and waist and pick her up bridal style. I honestly don't know how because I usually don't work out that much but Kara is light for an alien. As I'm heading for the stairs down the hallway I hear a click of a camera and I know Eliza is taking more pictures. "You're lucky I love you." I mumble under my breath.

I make it up the stairs and set her in the bed. I try to get her closer to the inside of the bed so I can get in beside her but it didn't matter anyways because when I got in she latched herself to me anyways. I guess this position is better then being side by side because of how small this bed is. She's basically on top of me with her head buried in my chest and neck.

"Oh my god, this is so gay." I hear Maggie say walking into the room with Alex beside her.

I internally roll my eyes at her and shush them so she doesn't wake up. "Let the hero sleep." I say waving them off with one hand while my other is around Kara. I roll my eyes as Alex takes a picture of us.

I hear Alex mumble, "Kara is going to kick herself for not being awake for this tomorrow."

"What?" I ask.

"N-Nothing!" Alex says quickly and her and Maggie eventually get in bed going to sleep.

Before I fall asleep, I can't help but wonder what Alex meant by, "Kara is going to kick herself for not being awake for this tomorrow."
