PARANG napako sa kanyang kinatatayuan si Mari ng magtama ang mga mata nila ng lalaking hindi na niya inakalang makikita pa niya. When she woke up in the hospital and remembered everything that had happened, how this man played with her and how she was so hurt because of that, she thought that she would never see him again because she knew, that he would not look for her anymore because he's with his  real wife now.

And she has accepted that she will raise her child alone and has no intention of introducing her future child to his father. In the past few days, she has taught herself to forget Lorenzo because it only hurts her more when she misses him. But now that he was in front of her, it was as if any weight in her heart suddenly disappeared. It's just proof of how much she missed him even though she knows it's not possible anymore.

"Go back to your room, Mari." Anang papa nila.

Nalipat ang kanyang tingin sa kanilang ama. Humakbang naman palapit sa kanya ang kapatid.
"Halika na, ihatid na kita sa kwarto mo."

"H-how are you? " Mahinang tanong ni Lorenzo. Hindi niya alam kung totoo ang pangungulila na nakikita niya sa mga mata nito o iyon lang ang nais isipin ng utak niya.

Lorenzo was about to go near her when their armed men stopped him with a gun. Lorenzo raised both hands but his gaze immediately returned to her.

"Don't mind him. Sila daddy na ang bahala sa kanya. Hindi ka niya masasaktan dito sa pamamahay natin. " Sabi ni Mara at inalalayan siya nito sa siko.

"I will never hurt her, Marabella. I want to talk to my wife, sir, please." said Lorenzo, confused as to who to deal with. whether it's her sister or her parents.

" Sige na Mara. Baka ma stressed pa yang si Mari. Kailangan niyang magpahinga ng maayos dahil hindi pa sya tuluyang magaling. "Her mommy said.

Walang imik siyang tumalikod sa mga ito at nagsimula nang humakbang paakyat ng hagdan. Sobra ang pagpipigil niya sa sariling bumalik at takbuhin ng yakap si Lorenzo.

" I missed you. You have no idea how much I missed you baby. I'm sorry for what happened. Let me talk to your parents first I'll see you after this." Sabi ni Lorenzo kahit na naglalakad na siya palayo at hindi ito nililingon.

At sa bawat paghakbang niya ay ang muling pag bigat ng dibdib niya. Bakit narito ang binata? Bakit nito sinasabing na miss siya nito? Ayaw niyang umasa pero hindi niya mapigilan dahil sa mga narinig mula dito.

"Don't listen to him Mari. Alam mo kung paano magmanipula ang lalaking yon. He fool you once, dont let him fool you twice." Sabi ng ate niya. Napansin siguro nito ang pananahimik niya.

" What he is doing here ate? D-did he come for me? "

Napatikhim ang ate niya at piniling hindi siya sagutin sa tanong niya.

"Kumain kana ba? It's past lunch na
Dapat hindi ka nagpapagutom dahil may tini take kang gamot. "

" Eat here in your room then. I will send you food to manang. Don't you have cravings? Just say anything. "

Ngumiti siya at umiling sa kapatid. Kahit papano ay hindi maselan ang kanyang pagbubuntis. May pagkakataon lang na nahihilo siya pero hindi siya kailanman nasuka kung nakaamoy siya ng hindi niya gusto.

Pinihit ni Mara ang door knob ng kwarto niya at iginiya na siya papasok sa loob.
"Wag ka ng lalabas. Kami na ang bahala sa walang hiyang lalaking yon. Anong akala niya aandar dito sa bahay ang pagiging mamamatay tao niya? Hindi na kami natatakot sa kanya. "

She just didn't say a word and just nod. She was in the middle of defending Lorenzo but she also thought about what he did to Her. She didn't know if she could trust him again after all. She just wants peace and hoping that everything will be fine even if they are no longer together.
