LORENZO IS STANDING outside the Delavins' house now. He found out from Edgardo that they had returned home since his wife was discharged from the hospital. And he wasted no time. He immediately went to plead to her parents. Ang papa nalang niya ang nagpresintang haharap sa possible buyer ng kanyang casino with his lawyer because it was more important for him that he and Mari talk.
"Hindi nga kayo sir pinapapasok." Sabi ng gwardiya na nakabantay sa labas ng gate. May kasama pa itong anim na kalalakihan na armado ng mga de calibreng baril.
"I want to talk to my wife. Let me in. Hindi naman ako manggugulo.." Naiirita na talaga siya pero hindi niya paiiralin ang init ng ulo ngayon para hindi na madagdagan ang galit ng mga Delavin kapag gumamit siya ng dahas para makita si Mari.
"Pasensya napo sir. Sumusunod lang kami sa utos. Kami naman po ang malilintikan kapag hindi kami sumunod."
"I will not leave here until I talk to my wife." Kung makikipagmatigasan ito sa kanya ay kaya rin niyang makipag matigasan dito.
"Sir mapapagalitan kami sa ginagawa niyo kapag di namin kayo napaalis."
"Ako ang ba--" naputol ang sasabihin niya ng lumapit sa kanila si Edgardo.
"Let me handle this, boss." Anito. He frowned as he just patted the guard he was talking to on the shoulder and continued to enter the gate of the Delavins.
"What the hell?!" Hindi mapigilang bulalas niya. Tinuro niya pa si Edgardo na hindi manlang pinigilan ng kahit sinong tauhan na naroon sa loob. Tuloy tuloy lang ito papasok sa bahay ng mga Delavin.

"Malapit po si Sir Edgardo sa mga Delavin. At hindi siya pinagbabawalan na makapasok sa loob." Tanging tugon ng gwardiya.
Nakagat nalang ni Lorenzo ang loob ng kanyang pisngi at hindi niya maiwasang maikuyom ang kanyang mga kamao. He had never experienced waiting here outside a house and being banned. Just now! When someone does that to them there is nothing you can do if they want to break into a house. Everyone was afraid of him even the Delavins before, and now he is here begging outside.
"How dare you brought him here Edgardo! Daddy will kill him!"
Napalingon siya sa boses babae na nagsasalita. Papalapit ito sa gawi nila kasabay si Edgardo.
"Mara ngayon lang, pagbigyan mo ako. Gusto lang makausap ni Lorenzo si Mari." Sagot naman ng kaibigan niya.
So, it's Marabella. Nakauwi na siya ngayon?
The two of them stopped talking when the woman noticed him. You can see the anger on her face. So he was not surprised when her palm touched his right cheek. Edgardo immediately stopped Marabella in both arms just as she was about to hit him again on the other cheek.
"How dare you show your thick face here! I almost lost my sister because of you! You demon!" Mara shouted at him angrily. Nagsilapit ang mga tauhan ng pamilya nito para protektahan ito kung sakaling lumaban siya.
His men also came near but he stopped them. If he needs to humble himself for his wife, he will do it. After all, it's all his fault why they're so angry with him.
"Mara, calm down." Saway naman ni Edgardo sa mahinahong boses. Kung hindi lang siya nasa magulong sitwasyon ngayon ay pag tutuunan niya ng pansin ang kakaibang trato ng kanang kamay niya sa kapatid ng asawa niya.
