Day 5: Friday
---
"Are you hungry?", Owen asked once they woke up from their nap in the afternoon. They had stayed in bed all day. Derek, Maggie and Lexie had already texted them multiple times to check if they were still alive.
"Yeah.", his girlfriend said. "But I have eaten.", she referred to the bag of chips they had snacked on every now and then. "I am only hungry for this.", she teased, rolling on top of him to passionately kiss him.
"You don't get tired, huh?", the redhead chuckled. Amelia had broken her own promise of not having sex in her and Maggie's bed, but luckily, her best friend had texted her an hour ago that she had given up the room to her and Owen anyway.
"Of you? Never.", the brunette flirted. Since they were already naked, she didn't have to undress him and started putting a new condom on her boyfriend before she kissed herself a way up his chest over his chin and jawline before she reached his lips again.
Three hours later, the couple finally joined its friends, who had already prepared a bonfire. They were having sausages, some salad made by April, toast, and marshmallows. Amelia and Owen were holding hands.
"So nice of you to join us.", Callie told them. "You've been screwing all day, haven't you?", she questioned, already knowing the answer because they had been super loud. While her redheaded friend blushed, his girlfriend just mysteriously shrugged and smirked.
"Here's sustenance.", Andrew chuckled, handing them a stick each for them to grill their sausages over the fire. He was happy that Maggie was now sharing his room with him. He had known Amelia and Owen screwing in what used to be his crush's bed had been inevitable.
"Thanks.", Amelia smiled and leaned against her boyfriend, who still hadn't told her brother about her slip. But she knew it was coming, even though they had had a great day together. "Derek?", she shyly started when he sat down on her other side.
"Yes?", the brunette wondered, curiously looking at his little sister, waiting for what she had to say to him. He noticed how surprised Owen seemed by Amelia starting the upcoming conversation with him.
"I smoked last night.", she mumbled in shame and glanced at the floor, feeling her boyfriend tighten their embrace. "And I almost took oxy this morning.", she added even quitter, ready to be yelled at.
"I know. I mean, I didn't know that you have been smoking, but Meredith saw you in the kitchen this morning, did you forget that?", Derek firmly replied. He made sure he stayed quiet though, because not everybody here had to listen to them talk about this.
"I'm sorry.", Amelia breathed out. "I know it was wrong. I know how disappointed you and Owen are...but he handed me the drugs so easily...I couldn't say no.", she tried to justify her actions and shrugged.
"I know you are sorry, and I am glad you understand that what you did was wrong. But Amy, you're an addict. This is not done through an apology. You are at day zero again.", her brother pointed out. "Mark told Tyler to leave as soon as we told him.", he shared.
"Don't you think I know that? Owen told me he has to supervise me, and I turned into the beast I become when I crave drugs. I almost broke up with him because of it.", the brunette told him in pain. "I didn't wanna tell you about the smoking, but he made me and now that you know, I need your help. Help me stay sober.", she begged.
"You're in for a ride.", Derek realized, addressing his redheaded friend. He had never expected Amelia to stop wanting to be with Owen, not even when on drugs. "We're here for you. But if it happens again, I am calling mom to pick you up and take you home.", he promised and threatened at the same time.
"Fair.", his sister agreed quietly and nodded. She hated to have to admit it, but now that Derek knew, she felt a little better. Maybe her boyfriend had been right, and it had been the right thing to do to tell him.
"I am proud of you.", the redhead whispered in her ear and kissed her cheek. "Thanks for not turning me into the bad guy. I didn't want to betray you, but I want to protect you and that includes your brother knowing about it."
"I know you only meant well.", Amelia reassured her boyfriend softly and leaned into him even more. "Otherwise, I wouldn't have slept with you all day.", she pointed out, causing him to chuckle. "I wasn't myself when I told you that I cannot do this with you."
"Honey, you're forgiven. I know this wasn't the real you.", Owen encouraged her. "Now let's spend some time with our friends before they end up missing us too much.", he joked. "Did you guys get everything you wanted from the store?"
"Yeah, and we also suffer from hearing loss ever since you two have been...you aren't even married yet.", April scolded her friends, not able to say the word. "The way none of you is embarrassed by letting everyone else know what is going on through your screams."
"Don't knock it till you try it, Kepner.", Alex meddled and winked at the shocked redhead. "Salad is good.", he praised her. "How do you know how to cook?", he questioned, for once actually interested in her answer.
"My parents taught me.", his friend explained. "Sometimes we have huge parties on the farm, and they need me to help them make food for everybody. And since we've arrived here, I am kinda glad I know how to cook, because the only other person who can is Owen. And well, we all know that Owen did not have time to make food today."
"That's personal.", Lexie noticed and laughed, looking at her best friend's boyfriend, who actually seemed to feel guilty now. "Owen, don't be upset. You were busy with something more important; we all know that."
"Maybe we can really change the topic now.", Derek begged, not in the mood to imagine his baby sister having sex with one of his best friends. "Let's talk about where everyone wants to go for vacation next summer.", he suggested.
