Day 10: Wednesday

---

"Oh my God Amy, I'll never say anything bad about you again.", Derek promised as he shoved another fork filled with waffle into his mouth. "I don't even know how you do it, but despite the fact that you cannot cook at all, your waffles are always spot on perfect."

"Dude, you just said you wouldn't insult her ever again and did right in your next sentence.", Alex pointed out and chuckled. "But he's right, the waffles are amazing.", he also praised his friend.

"Don't worry Alex, after seeing my brother's naked butt this morning, nothing can shock me too much anymore.", Amelia laughed and watched Derek blush. "Don't be embarrassed, I also saw Meredith naked and well, Owen did too."

"Stop teasing us!", the Grey whined and rolled her eyes. "That's neither nice nor fair. I am always so kind to you.", she playfully complained and stole one of Amelia's pieces of banana from her plate since she was sitting across from her.

"Also, don't pretend you haven't had sex last night.", Derek continued and crossed his arms. "Had to increase the volume of the music in order to make sure the noises you guys made weren't ruining our evening.", he teased back, causing Owen's eyes to widen.

"I told you to be quieter!", the redhead hissed, embarrassed. "Can't we just change the topic and you two keep harassing each other later?", he suggested, wanting to get out of this situation very badly.

"I'd very much appreciate that.", Callie said. "So, are we still going to hike today?", she asked. She had been drinking last night but not as much as some of her friends. "Or maybe just those who feel up for it?"

"Yeah, sounds good.", Mark agreed and took a big sip of coffee out of his mug. "Lex, are you in?", he questioned and wrapped his arm around his girlfriend, charmingly smiling at her and wiggling his eyebrows.

"Can't say no to that face.", the brunette grinned and leaned in to give him a kiss before she let him take a bite of her toast. "Who else is coming with us?", she wondered.

"Not me.", Maggie yawned. "I'll stay here and take care of the cleaning, plus I definitely have to sober up.", she explained. She was rather laying in her chair than actually sitting. "Long night.", she added.

"Me neither.", Arizona, Derek, Jo, and Alex shared. April hadn't been as drunk, and Jackson was already feeling fine again. Amelia just chuckled and shook her head at them. She didn't often feel like she had managed herself better than others, but right now was definitely one of these moments and she was even proud to be sober.

"I am not going without you.", Meredith meddled again, referring to her boyfriend. "Especially when all I get is judged.", she pointed out and glanced at Amelia, making her try not to laugh.

"Alrighty, Nells are you in too?", Andrew asked the dog, who excitedly barked at that, meaning she was definitely going to be part of the group. "I'll pack some snacks for us. April, wanna help?", he asked the redhead, who nodded.

"We'll be back for dinner.", Jackson announced to their friends that had decided to stay in the cabin. "Maybe we could order again or make something easy like pizza, especially since our cooks are all gone.", he joked.

"Sounds good.", Jo answered, giving him a thumbs up. "Have fun!", she waved at the group once they left. The others had decided to keep brunching a little while longer before some of them rested again and others started cleaning.

"Amy!", Derek yelled from his spot at the table, causing his sister to turn around to him at the door. "Although you've been really annoying this morning, please be careful and drink enough water. It's extremely hot outside today."

"I will, I promise.", the brunette softly responded and smiled at him. "Drink your water as well, helps with the hangover.", she winked and finally closed the door behind herself to catch up with the others.

"You truly have been a pain in the ass to him this morning.", Mark chuckled and nudged the Shepherd. "That's usually my job.", he joked. "So, I need some advice.", he changed the topic and made sure the two of them were walking together without anyone else.

"From me?", Amelia questioned confused and glanced up at him. "What do you need my advice for?", she kept asking curiously. "Everything okay with Lexie? You guys seemed fine during brunch."

"Yeah...well, mostly. That's what I wanna talk to you about.", he let her know. "Her birthday is coming up soonish and I want to throw her a surprise party, but I need some help and who could be a better help than her best friend?"

"Oh, of course we can do that. I mean, none of us likes surprise parties but Lexie, so I think she'll be thrilled to have one thrown for her.", the brunette agreed. "Whenever you come over to our house again, we can start planning the whole thing and she won't know since you basically live with us anyway."

"Thanks, Amelia.", Mark gratefully answered. "Do you already have an idea for a theme we could do?", he asked. "Because I thought of doing a math-inspired party with weird costumes and games and food shaped like numbers and stuff. Is that dumb?", he worried.

"Aw, Mark. That's...childish...but totally something Lexie will love. And I also think the idea is very original. Let's do it.", Amelia encouraged her so-called other brother and beamed at him. "This is gonna be great."
