Day 9: Tuesday
---
"Alright, we will leave for the shopping trip now.", Derek announced, closely followed by his best friend and Maggie. "If possible, please let me sit at the same table as my sister.", he addressed Lexie and Arizona since Amelia was currently upstairs getting ready.
"We'll do our best.", the two girls promised and waved them goodbye before they started planning the seating arrangement. Callie and Alex were upstairs, preparing the playlist, and April, Andrew and Owen talked about their plans for the food and drinks at the beach.
Meredith, Jo, and Jackson had already started cleaning and pushing the tables together. It would be four couples at two tables and the other three couples together at a third table.
"Sorry, I am here now. Took me five minutes longer, Charlotte called me.", Amelia shared since she was a little late. "So, seating arrangements? Noted any wishes?", she asked.
"Yep. Your brother wants to sit with you and Owen.", Arizona replied. "Let's see. Mark and Callie wanted to sit at the same table as well, which means the two of us and our partners can share a table.", she combined.
"I am pretty sure Jackson and Alex wanted to share a table too. So, how about we have you together, those two and Maggie and Andrew can sit with us.", the Shepherd suggested.
"Sounds good to me.", Lexie agreed. "I'll write the cards.", she excitedly announced and got to work. "You could start with the balloons.", she figured, watching her friends begin to inflate the balloons.
"Are you in the mood for ice cream?", her best friend wondered about five minutes later, looking at Arizona and Lexie, who glanced at her and frowned since they hadn't started that long ago.
"Do you actually want ice cream at 11am or do you miss your boyfriend?", the blonde judged and smirked at her, causing her to blush. "Thought so. But fine, let's go. We can eat our ice cream and sit on the beach with the others before we continue."
"Hi!", Amelia beamed at Owen as they joined him, April and Andrew and handed each of them an ice cream as well. The group had picked their friends' favorite flavors. "How's it going?", she questioned, not actually interested and already busy with connecting her lips with her boyfriend's.
"How can someone be so horny?!", April asked amused. Since her friends had brought their favorite ice cream, she was in a peaceful mood rather than an annoyed one.
"They are in love. Let them be. You've been with Jackson for a while now, but they just got together. And you have ice cream, be happy about that, it was Amelia's idea.", Arizona chuckled.
"Yeah, understandable.", Andrew meddled softly. "But Guys, your ice cream is melting.", he informed the couple, causing them to stop. Amelia positioned herself between Owen's legs and leaned back against him as she ate her snack. "I know you are the organizing group, but since I have brought my Canon, I was wondering what you were thinking about creating a photo booth. I mean, we wanted this to be like a regular prom. There's always a photo booth and we should make sure we are saving those moments."
"That's actually such a great idea!", Lexie exclaimed excitedly. "I also have my Polaroid, so we can take photos with both cameras.", she added. "Let's get back to preparing everything.", she addressed her group.
"I will see you later.", Owen told Amelia and smiled at her, leaning in for another kiss. "I love you.", he bravely admitted in front of the others. His heart was beating so fast, he felt like he was on the verge of a panic attack. What if all this was a dream and he would wake up from it before his girlfriend said it back? What if she wasn't going to say it back?
"I love you too.", the brunette replied instantly and pecked his lips one more time before she got up and smiled at him. Their friends just cheered them on since they hadn't heard them use those words for each other yet. "Okay, go back to whatever you were doing.", she chuckled.
"You looked worried there for a second.", April pointed out once the girls were out of sight again. She knew that Andrew wasn't going to tell anyone. "Why?", she curiously asked. "You seemed so sure about her before."
"It's nothing.", the redhead tried to avoid the topic and shrugged. "So, let's get back to the food.", he suggested, but his friends weren't giving in. "It's not about Amelia, okay? She's perfect and that scares me. When I had feelings for Jessica, you know what happened...she told everybody and embarrassed me. I am scared the same might happen with Amelia. She's too cool for me. She's an extrovert and I...I am not. I was afraid she might not say it back."
"Owen, Amelia isn't Jessica.", Andrew was the one to speak up first. "What happened with her is not happening again. Amelia is so into you...she just made the others get ice cream with her to come see you. It doesn't always have to be two extroverts or two introverts to work. Look at April and Jackson.", he advised.
"Exactly. And love also isn't about coolness. Again, look at Jackson and I. He's everybody's favorite and God, I will never be that. But that's not why I am dating him. I love him for who he is and if love was about coolness, he would not be with me. I live at a farm, I believe in God so much that I am saving myself for marriage, this is not considered cool by anyone. And still, we have been together for almost two years.", Owen's best friend said. "And you are super cool, by the way. Introverts can be great too, even if they aren't as outgoing as extroverts.", she explained truthfully.
"Thanks, Guys.", the Hunt gratefully smiled at them. "She just makes me so nervous. I don't actually doubt her love for me; I think Jessica just traumatized me with being so disrespectful about my feelings. I just don't want to lose Amelia. And it took everything in me to let myself fall for her. But it's not fair of me to assume she is going to hurt me as well. She does not deserve it.", he realized.
