"Nice to meet you, i'm sorry, i'm just here to do my job, nice to meet you, no running, please don't fear me i'm just karma." I sung the chorus that I had just wrote. And that was literally all i had wrote down I was tryna work on a song to throw everyone else off but i was having a hard time.
"Ugh i hate my life." I said and I stared at my phone for a while before picking it up and calling Keilan. It rung three times before he picked up.
"Hello." He answered and it felt so good to hear his voice knowing that he was okay.
"Hey." I smiled like he could see me. "I just wanted to hear your voice and see how you were feeling, I didn't know if you felt some type of way about me not being there when you woke up or not and- Serayah." He cut me off.
"Hm?"
"I'm good." He chuckled. "I don't feel a type of way you good stop thinking like that." He said.
"So you not mad at me?" I asked.
"If you ain't get there in time i would've been dead so no i'm not mad at you, thank you." He said.
"You don't have to thank me." I said.
"Yes I do." He said.
"So how long do you have to stay in the hospital?" I asked.
"Three days they bullshittin' i ain't tryna be here for three days fuck i look like." He fussed.
"Somebody that got shot three times." I mumbled.
"That was a rhetorical question." He said.
"Sorry...my intrusive thoughts came out." I said.
"When you coming so you can tell me what you wanted to talk about?" He asked.
"Huh?" I asked. I'm too nervous to actually tell him how I feel to his face.
"Why you actin' like that?"
"I-acting like what? I'm on my way." I said. "I'll see you when I get there." I said.
"Ight." He hung up.
"Serayah you're acting like a child get it together." I told myself going into my bathroom.
"Okay, what are you gonna say." I thought as i looked at myself in the mirror. I never felt this way away about anybody it's different with him and i don't know how to explain.
...
When I was walking down the hall to find the room that he was in I saw his auntie by a vending machine.
"Hey miss Faith." I said catching her attention.
"Hey hun." She gave me a hug. "You can just call me faith." She shooed her hand.
"How's he been doing since he woke up?" I asked.
"Girl mean and grumpy as ever." She laughed. "imma go run a few errands and let y'all talk though." She said.
