"Yeah i think that'll bring in the chorus." I agreed with Dre as I looked over the song I had written. I was in Dre's studio that he had himself working on the songs for my album.

"And then you can work yo' way back at the end, almost like a loop if you think about it." He showed me and I nodded.

"Okay play it back." i said as he started playing the music from the beginning.

"Lord you know how hard it is....dealing with the pain day-to-day over one man. She can never be who I am, but as long as he with me that's what it's gone be yeaaa." I sung looking at my journal as the beat dropped.

"OHHHH SHIT." He jumped up getting hyped giving me a handshake. I keep feeling like a real nigga lately and them giving me handshakes ain't doing nothing but boosting my ego.

"YEAHHHH FRIEND." Dessi got hyped as well making me reciprocate the same energy.

"That shit gone go hard- Dre you-." Dre was cut off but Kado walking in puzzled when he saw me.

"Wassup bruh." Dre looked at him but Kado's whole attitude changed.

"Let me talk to you right quick." He nodded towards me and I looked behind me before looking at him cause i didn't wanna talk to him.

"Is it about business?" I asked.

"Yeah it is." He said and i sighed following him out the room.

"Since when you started recording new shit without letting me know?" He asked.

"I've worked with Dre before what's the problem now?" I asked.

"Yeah but you ain't ever recorded some shit wit him without my knowledge you forgetting you signed a contract wit me." He said.

"Okay and where in that contract did it say that you had control over who produces my songs?" I asked.

"Serayah." He said.

"Well maybe i don't want you to produce every song i make or even know about the songs i make. Youre a producer not my manager and you're most definitely not the head of a label that i could be signed to because i'm independent." I said.

"You wouldn't even be in this music shit if it wasn't for me so that's the least you could do." He said and next thing you know i sent a hard slap to his face watching him clench his jaw and put his hand on his face as he chuckled.

"That's what you on?" He looked at me.

"Don't ever try to make it seem like you made me cause last time i checked i have a platform because of the lyrics i write on my own. Humble yourself when it comes to me i didn't get this far because of you."

"Put yo' hands on me again and i'm not gone hold back like i just did." He said.

"You hit me first." I said.
