Allison's POV
"Dad! Jaime is taking me to my softball tournament! I will be back later!" I shouted to my father who was in the kitchen making himself another drink. "Okay." He said loud enough for me to barely hear. I rolled my eyes and picked up my softball bag. I walked outside where Jaime's truck was in my driveway. "Hey there Alli Cat." Jaime stuck his head out of the window. I threw my bag into the back of the pickup and opened the door to the backseat. "Jess isn't with me today so you can sit in the front." Jaime told me. I closed the back door and walked around to the front. I jumped into his pickup and he started to pull out of the driveway. "Did you tell Vic you are leaving?" Jaime asked. "Yes." I mumbled before putting my earphones in. I let Luke Bryan play through my ears.
I'm Allison. Vic Fuentes is my "dad." He doesn't really pay attention to me. I'm thirteen years old. I play softball. I don't listen to my dad's music. I like country. I have dark brown hair and eyes just like my dad. I am quite tiny like my mom and dad. Mom was only 5'2. Dad is 5'6. I'm in between at 5'3. I have a high metabolism so I eat a lot but I never gain a pound. That's basically all you need to know about me.
Jaime pulled into the softball park parking lot. I didn't take out my earphones though. I jumped out of the pickup. I ran around to the back to grab my bag. I slipped out of my Under Armour slip ons. I put on my brand new metal cleats. Since I'm in the fourteen and under age group I can now start wearing metal cleats. I looked for other people wearing a California Mayhem jersey. I see Abigail in the distance. She is only eleven, but she is one hell of a player. I ran over to her. Jaime was talking to our coach. Jaime has started to help coach the team because he "knows" so much about softball. That means Jess taught him everything he knows. I took out my earphones so I could talk to Abbi. "Hey." I said as I walked up beside her. "Hey Alli." She smiled. "Can I stay at your house tonight?" I asked her. "Sure. I will ask my mom." She took out her phone. Her mom usually drops her off at games because she is always busy with work. "She said it's okay." Abbi told me. I texted dad.
I'm staying with Abbi tonight.
We saw our other players at the field. I was about to put my phone in my pocket when I saw a text from dad.
No you aren't.
What the hell is his problem? He always lets me stay with friends because he doesn't want to care for me.

After a day full of softball, Jaime took me home. We won all of our games. "Why didn't dad let me stay at Abbi's tonight?" I asked Jaime. "I don't know Alli Cat." He said. "Whatever." I crossed my arms. We pulled into my driveway. Uncle Mike's and Tony's cars were already there. They usually come over a lot. I left my bag in Jaime's truck since he is taking me tomorrow as well. I walked into my living room to see the guys scattered around on the couches. I sat next to dad on the couch. Danielle was on his other side. Erin was next to Tony, Alysha was next to Mike, and Jaime sat down next to Jess. They were talking about some party I think. I scrolled through my Instagram. "Alli." Dad nudged me. "What?" I looked up. "Are you okay with staying here for a while by yourself?" Dad asked me. I nodded my head. Everyone stood up and walked out of the house, except for dad. "I will be home around midnight." He told me. "Why couldn't I go to Abbi's?" I asked him. "Because I said so." He snapped immediately. "Well why do I have to stay here alone when I could have gone to her house?" I snapped back. "Because I'm your dad. What I say goes." He yelled. "Well you may be my father but you will never be my dad!" I yelled back. He looked hurt by my statement. "I can't believe you just said that!" He hollered. "Well I just did!" I ran up the stairs to my bedroom. I started to cry. He doesn't care about me. I just know it. I wish I could have some sort of attention from him instead of fighting. Maybe if I...
I grabbed the razor. I never really did this before. I know that my dad's fans have. I hit the razor with my shampoo bottle. The blades became loose. I took one and looked at it. Cutting myself with get attention from my dad right? The downside is it's going to hurt. A lot. It will be well worth it though.
I drug the blade across my wrist. I could barely see the blood because my visions was blurry from tears. A knock at the door startled me. "Alli? It's me Vic. Come out please." He knocked again. I didn't pay attention though. I drug the blade across my wrist once more. "Alli?" Dad opened my door. I panicked. I shouldn't have done this. I was frozen. "Alli." Dad gasped. He saw me. Oh my God. "Alli what did you do?" He rushed over to me and grabbed my wrist. "Why did you do this?" He looked at me with tears in his eyes. "I- uh..." I couldn't form any other words. Dad started to clean my cut. After he finished, he pulled me into a hug. "Why?" He whispered. I pulled away. "Because you never pay attention to me! You either sit around and mourn about mom, or you are on tour! I thought if I cut myself like one of yours fans you would pay attention! It's like you love them more than me!" I shouted. Dad was hurt. I could tell. "Oh..." He put his hands in his pockets and walked out of my room. Seriously? I just cut myself and you walk out of my room like nothing happened? "I'm going to kill myself!" I yelled loudly so he could hear. I heard him run up the stairs and into my room. "Don't even think about it." He said clearly. In that moment, I knew he cared.
