                                                        AARON

OKAY LET'S GET THIS out of the way. We're mutants. Yes, mutant teenage birds. Now, don't get it confused with teenage mutant turtles but teenage mutant birds. I'm Aaron, fourteen, turning seventeen this fall and leader of the pack; which is Snow fourteen, John twelve, and Patrick ten. Right now we were leaving home for Michigan, for some food at taco bell or something. I was in front and flew in a V from oldest to youngest. I looked back at Snow, her hair silk-like, with streaks of blond and white, it waved in front of her face as she caught my glance and gave me a sincere smile. Then, John. he was the troublemaker, causing wrecks everywhere, (including the toilet) his face frowned with bags under his eyes, he'd stayed up late and we pulled him out of bed to get breakfast. And my buddy, Patrick, had short dirty blonde hair that was long enough to arch over his eyes. We'd gone to Wal-Mart in the end and got some cereal. Also to put some background only 3 of the four of us are related, me, Patrick, and John. Poor snow. Like I said in the DESC we have little to no info on our history, but that. We were heading back home to where no one waited for us, right, we didn't have parents. We don't know why but we're guessing that our parents gave us up. As I flew through the gusting wind, John was whistling the song of star spangled banner. I could have sworn that my wings felt heavier as if bricks had been placed on them. Snow caught my struggling expression, "Aaron," she flew up next to me, "you okay?" Her clear turquoise eyes sliced through mine in case I lied,
"Yeah I'm fine," I cleared my throat.
"Aaron, you're not fine, your face is red, you need to take a break." Her voice was stern and serious. I opened my mouth and tried to speak but nothing came out. She saw me mouthing words and now she was concerned. "Aaron?" Her voice sounded muffled. My vision became blurry and unfocused. We were thousands of feet high, as to be genetically engineered. Slowly my vision went almost dark. Snow and the others suddenly flew higher and higher, I looked around as my world was spinning. There was screaming.
Oh no I realized. They're not flying up. I was falling.
