I COULDN'T STAND SEEING Max kiss Aaron. I didn't care if he was abusive under stressful situations. I just want him to be mine only. I picked him up off his feet and smiled at him.
"Looks like I have some competition." I chuckled. I took off, tempted to look back. He caught up to me and smiled.
"I already know who won." He rubbed my back and made my insides warm. My face flushed and I turned away, acting like I was still warming up to him.
"Whatever." He laughed and went back up to John and started talking to him. We headed west and landed on a little farm field. Ahead there was a small cottage, much like our house. Max knocked on the door and a lady welcomed her by a hug.
"Mom." Max said, smiling.
"Come in, come in-" She stopped at the sight of the four of us, "Who are they?" She asked sweetly.
"They've bumped into us and now they're along for the journey." She answered.
"Oh, okay. That's great!" She said smiling, patting me on the back and giving me a beautiful smile. We all sat down at the couch in the living room sitting in silence as Max argued with her mom in the kitchen.
"I'm sorry Max, but it's not up for discussion."
"You know I was able to-" Her mom raised an eyebrow, "Fine, if we can trust you. We can trust Jeb." She nodded and hugged Max. Angel began to speak.
"Did I tell Max yet?" She asked. We all cocked our heads and looked at her curiously. "I guess not." Her face was disappointed and fell. "I saw-" She shook, "I saw Dr. Martinez at the facility." Iggy, nudge, and Gazzy all gasped and stared at Angel. The pack shook our heads and looked at Angel. "Max's mom." I gasped as well.
"What?!"
