AARON
"WHO DID YOU SELL this to!?" I asked for hundredth time flipping in rage.
"I swear to god, I don't know!" He put his hands in front of his face as if cowering in fear. In case you didn't know, we're in an armory looking for a guy who's trying to kill me. I looked around making sure no one was looking. "Listen, Jonah! I know you keep a list! Now give it to me!" He shook his balding head, pitifully. He lowered his hands and put on a smirk,
"We've- or actually I, been waiting for you to come."
I backed away a little on the fact that slipped up. We've.
"I mean- forget about that," He said, as a clicking noise came from behind his desk. It was either fly away from this desolate city with the pack, or morph and- I mean tell the pack to take off and I finish this. I went back to thinking about that time me and Snow were super close to each other, her hand clawing mine, when the same thing happened again, as she reached forward a bit and clasped my hand in hers, "Freak." He said, gesturing to my back.
"How do you-" The man interrupted my question, on how he knows about my wings, with a laugh.
"Snow" I whispered. She nodded already seeing where this was headed.
"Come back, Aaron." Snow said, pressing her warm lips against my left cheek. I mean sure, we had a year age-gap but it's fine. Patrick hugged me, but the stupid cashier, caught on. I realized, this was a setup. With my never-failing hearing I heard two clicks on top of another. Grunting, I flipped the desk over. POP POP, my ears rang, seeing the holes in the desk. I let out a sigh of relief, knowing that I wasn't shot, when I gripped his arm and twisted it, as I kicked the back of his knee, making him flip horizontal, with his hand behind his back.
"Go! Run!" I shouted to the pack. They instantly dashed across the wooden floor but stopped at the sight of a silhouette, towering over the window on the door. I whipped my head back around, "Tell. Me. Now." I told him, as I tried my best to keep my voice stern. He coughed a chuckle.
"Now!" He shouted.
The door slammed open. A bunch of men in black outfits and helmets stormed through the room, I stomped on the clerks neck and unfurled my wings. I took off and braced myself for the head-splitting feeling I would get when my head collides with the cement ceiling. My head felt like it would explode, when I burst through the shattering, splitting, wood. I stumbled from the Impact, and collapsed on the brick shingles. I saw the pack flying through the violet-red, sky, landing on a tree about a mile from here keeping watch.
PHEPEW, PHEPEW, PHEPEW, PHEPEW.
The guns rapidly shot through the roof, flinging debris everywhere. I felt a slight sting in my wings, that pain becoming larger. I couldn't stand there. I assumed I was being darted.
I jumped off the roof, getting ready to take off.
Oof.
What the hell?
My wings were crumpled, and bloody. They'd been hit. I sprinted as hard as I could, The guards rushing out of the door. I continuously ran, breathing in every drastic, breath. The tree the pack was on, was getting slightly closer with every leap.
I heard a small, thin whistle growing louder, as it traveled through the setting wind.
"I'm coming,-" I didn't get to finish.
BOOM!
The ground split between my feet, a searing pain showering over me, the world going grey.
