It was now Sunday, Family Day in Auradon, and the events with our parents the other day were now long gone from my mind. The only family I need was Evie, Mal, Carlos, and Jay.

Evie had excitedly told both Mal and Carlos about me and Jay last night (don't know when either of us had the chance to tell her that) and I was shocked and happy to hear they all knew before hand, but were still very happy for us.

The five of us were on a balcony of Auradon Prep observing the events of Family Day from afar. Ben and a group of students were performing a song for the crowd who were all dancing.

We walked together off the balcony and through the crowd to a tent that was covering tables of snacks and refreshments. Mal picked up a strawberry as she passed and I grabbed one of the little cookies on a tower of small cookies and happily ate it.

Carlos handed Dude to Evie so he could grab one of the chocolate covered treats someone was handing out next to a chocolate fountain. I smiled, enjoying the sunny day, as I laced an arm around Jay's. He smiled at me, before looking over at Carlos and joined him on dipping various things into the chocolate fountain. I laughed at the both of them as Jay leaned over the table and stuck his tongue into the fountain. I couldn't blame him, I wanted to as well!

Mal went off to join Ben, who called her over, and I stood with Evie. We saw she had walked over to Ben's parents, who gave us a wave. We all waved back.

After talking with them, Mal came over and told us his parents had invited us to a game of croquet before lunch. Cool, another game I have never heard of!

We moved to an open field to play this game called croquet. There were little hoops sticking up out of the ground, wooden balls with different colored stripes on them, and mallets we all had to hit with.

I turned to Jay, who I was standing next to in the shade while we waited for our turns. "What is with the people of Auradon and games that involve sticks and balls?" I asked Jay, laughing at the wording of my question. (im a child so yes i know how the wording sounds)

I looked out into the grass. Everyone seemed to be having a great time. Evie had just took her turn, Carlos was playing with Dude. Everything seemed to be working out fine for us.

"You?!" A voiced yelled, grabbing everyone's attention. Turning to where the voice came from, I saw Mal standing with Audrey and an older woman I didn't recognize. "How are you here? And how have you stayed so young?" the older woman asked Mal, looking her up and down.

Ben came up to Mal and the group. Evie, Jay, Carlos, and I also moved closer. We were ready to help our friend if need be. "Queen Leah, it's okay. Maleficent is still on the island." Ben told the older woman. Ohh... this is Sleeping Beauty's mom. No wonder she freaked out at Mal.

"This is her daughter, Mal. Don't you remember my proclamation to give the new generation a chance?" Ben asked, holding Mal's shoulders. By now, the four of us were behind Mal. I could tell that none of us liked the way things were looking.
