Y/N wasn't sure what to expect from her first day at U.A. She was glad that her husband was okay with her taking a part-time job at all. She knew that he could get a little possessive and didn't like her being out of the house too often. He just got very jealous all the time, even though Y/N had never given him any reason for that. Still, she had asked him about this when he was in a good mood, and he had agreed.

And she had found something she was interested in and qualified for pretty much right away. U.A. High School apparently needed a part-time secretary to help out with all the admin stuff that they had to do. It was a simple office job – calling people, sorting papers, filling out forms, scheduling appointments.

Of course, when she had been applying, Y/N's husband hadn't been too happy, but she was determined to hold him to his promise to let her get a part-time job this time around. And it wasn't like they had enough money, anyway – they needed the extra income. He had been worried about her working overtime (Y/N assured him that she wouldn't) and that she might not be up for the job (she was).

But despite all this, Y/N applied, she went for the interview, and she got the job. Once that was done, Y/N started wondering if she was really up for it. What if her husband was right? What if it was going to be too much for her? What if they would ask her to do overtime? But she kept telling herself that in that case she could just quit. That was always an option to get out of this, right? She didn't have to keep this job.

But she was going to try. Surely that couldn't hurt, right? And they needed the money. It was only 20 hours a week, which meant she could still do all the chores around the house. There was no reason for her husband to get angry with her. Except that he rarely needed a reason to be angry with her, but that was just the way it was. Maybe she just wasn't being a good wife... maybe he was right when he said he could have done so much better. Maybe it was just the financial pressure that made him so angry.

Y/N sighed. There was no point trying to figure it out. She couldn't really see why he was always so angry with her. She couldn't find a pattern whatsoever. She had given up on trying to figure it all out years ago. Maybe he was just an angry person, maybe he was stressed, maybe she was just a terrible person.

Either way, now was not the time to think about this. She was standing in front of the gates of U.A., waiting for someone to let her in. She had informed them that she had arrived over a little intercom system, and they had said that they would send one of the teachers out to meet her. She'd be given an access badge once she was there and had set up her workstation and everything else. Y/N felt nervous.

It had been a long time since she had last been working and she wondered how much had changed in all that time. Y/N knew that things were usually changing fast in the workplace, so she hoped that she'd be able to get used to all of it again. She was going to get some training during the first week, so that would be good. At least, she wasn't going to be left completely in the dark. Y/N took a deep breath.

Just in that moment she heard the gates opening. So someone had finally made it all the way down here – Y/N did her best to put on a friendly smile, but one that wasn't too big. She didn't want to seem weird. (Then again, this was U.A., so she was sure that they were seeing plenty of weird things, but still.)

The person that had come to meet her was wearing a wide black overall and had long black hair. He didn't really look like a teacher or a hero, more like a homeless man, with the way his hair seemed to be unkempt and with the stubble on his chin. Y/N wondered whether he was actually a teacher or if they had decided to send the janitor down to meet her. Either way, she was glad that she could finally see someone she would be working with. She bowed a little and gave him a smile, wondering what to say.
