AUDENZIA's POV

Almost everyone had tried to find seats in the dining hall. It was loud and Gobber was chewing off Hiccup and I's ears about bringing home more dragons. Stoick wasn't on the island right now, him and a few others went out to explore beyond.

I was sitting in between Hiccup and Snotlout, Nove laid on the ground behind me. Hookfang, Toothless, and herself being the only calm dragons in the dining hall.

"Food fight!" Snotlout screamed, throwing a turkey leg at Tuffnut's face. I rolled my eyes at his childish acts. The noise was driving me insane, the food splattering from the table and onto me wad driving insane. I looked at Hiccup with pleading eye, he gave me the go ahead.

I stood up and onto the table. Drawing in a breath, I yelled, "Everyone, enough!" The hall had quieted down, except for the dragons so Nova let out a small, demanding growl which settled them. "We're the Hooligan tribe, yes. But can we please have one normal, quiet dinner, where we actually eat out food instead of wasting it?!" I yelled, glancing down at Snotlout for the last part.

Tuffnut 'oohed' and pushed Snotlout. Beltch had hit Tuffnut in the head with his own to shut him up. "Ow, you little-" Tuffnut was cut off by another growl, this time it was Hookfang. "Right, shutting up."

I looked away from the riders and around the dining hall before jumping down from the table and sitting back in the same spot.

"Lady Audenzia." Eret appeared at the table. "I have your report." I looked at him and waited for him to continue. "Two more trapper barges spotted in the straight."

I nodded. "We go after them." Gobber glared at me. "What?" I snapped.

"One day you're going to pick a fight you, nor Nova can win."

-

"Look at this place, baby girl. It's our home." Mama said, a memory from before her and Papa died.

"You're meant for great things, Audenzia. One day when you're all grown up, it will be your duty to protect the people of Berk."

"Why?" My voice was so small and quiet.

"Because your fathers job is to fight along our chief. That job will be passed onto you." My mom bopped my nose.

"Okay." I said quietly, looking down at my home.

Berk. I watched the dragons fly over the village. Gobber was right, it is overcrowded. But i have to save the dragons. It's my job. Nova is the alpha, and i'm her rider. Its a responsibility.

I was nudged from behind, Nova standing behind me. "What?"

She tilted her head at me, purring. I sat on the ground and she cuddled next to me. I pulled out the map Hiccup and I had been working on, the one we mapped new islands on.

I was trying to figure out where the two other trapper barges would be found. I traced the map till my fingers were off of it.

I heard wings sore over mine and nova's head, Astrid landed down next to us. "Gobber is right y'know." Was all she said. She walked in front of me, balancing on the edge of the cliff.

"Yeah, well I'm not gonna sit around and let hundreds of dragons die."

"Well the more dragons we bring back here, the bigger the target we are, Z."

"I- I know, Astrid." I groaned taking in a breath.

"I wish there was a way to just get them to leave us alone."

I stared out into the horizon, then remembered a story Stoic tells Hiccup and I.

"There might be." I folded up the map and placed it back into my pocket. "Stoic used to tell Hiccup and I an old mariners myth," i stood up and looked back at the sunset, "of a secret land at the edge of the world where dragons live totally out of reach."

Astrid chuckled, "Well, Sailor's are known for tall tales."

"But what if its real? It could be the answer to all our problems."

"How? By moving the dragons there?" I looked down at her, smirking.

"All of us." She perked up.

"Seriously? And abandon our home of seven generations? Do you think Hiccup or Stoic would even agree to that?" Before I could answer, she scoffed. "Yeah, I think we need a real solution, Audenzia."

I sighed, Looking back at the horizon. Nova purred, standing beside me. I looked down at her then moved to her saddle. "I'm going for a ride."

"You should stay here, Z. What if theres an attack."

"I wont be far." I hopped on Nova and we flew off, Astrid calling my name from the island gre farther in the distance.

But then Nova stopped. I looked at her confused as she had her head on a swivel. "What is it, Girl?"

She began sniffing the air until she dove down towards the island again. When we landed, Nova began sniffing her way through the forest. Toothless suddenly appeared beside us as well.

We followed a cooing sound, and broke the the trees into a meadow.

I was shocked. Another Light fury laid in the grass. I slowly slid off of Nova and took a small step towards the dragon. Toothless and Nova stayed close on my two sides to protect me.

She let out purring sounds and moved her wing to look back at us.

I slowly stepped closer to her, but she snapped at me. Nova growled and pounced forward, but then she sniffed the air and whined.

She rushed forward and tackled the second light fury to the ground. The two white dragons looked exactly the same, the only difference were the color of the eyes.

Nova and the second dragon didn't look like they were fighting, they looked like they were hugging.

Toothless let out a confused grunt, nudging my hand. I scratched his head for him, looking equally confused as we watched the two dragons greet each other.

Nova pounced over to me excitedly, grabbed onto my sleeve with her teeth and yanked me forward. She let me go once I was in front of the other dragon, and I knealt onto my knees.

Nova nudged my hand to where it was placed on her nose, like when i got her to trust me, then nodded at the other light fury as if to tell me to do the same.

Slowly I raised my hand to the other dragon, and like before, let her do all the work.

It only took a few moments before the dragon placed her nose against my hand. She purred with it.

But then a twig snapped behind us in the trees. I spun around to look who was there, and saw no one. But then I was tackled to the ground by Toothless, and he wrapped his wings around me protectively as the new dragon shot a blast through the trees.

Toothless moved away from me and pulled my up with his teeth, I looked at where the blast was shot to and saw Hiccup and Astrid.

The new dragon stood in front of me just as protective as Toothless was and shot at the two again.

"No, no!" I grabbed onto the dragon to stop her, Toothless and nova whined at her.

Hiccup and Astrid got up and stumbled towards us. "We're friends."

She whined, turned around and flew off. Nova purred, grabbed me and flung me onto her saddle before following the dragon.

The new dragon disappeared into her own fire blast, leaving Nova and I confused and floating in the air. Nova was whining, looking around for her new friend, or long lost. Until I directed her to land back on the ground.
