You all decide to simply rest for the first few hours.

You've exhausted most options on what else to do.

It's too dangerous to let anyone fall asleep and surrender the Avatar just to tell Grace where you're at.

If the Thanators attack again...
One of you would end up bait.
And that's not a sacrifice you all are ready to make yet.

It's not the end of the world waiting until the sun rises again.
You've probably spaced out longer than that alone on your own.
Time means nothing when you know how to make it pass by quickly.

Just don't fall asleep, that's all you can do.

Jake has a small fire going with the items he's found in the bags.

Norm protested it - but it was no use.

You hated seeing them fight like this in such a desperate situation.

You finally get up for the first time since Jake placed you back on land, and only then do you notice the red stain accompanied with blood dripping down the side of your jacket.

Norm is the first to spot it, and he checks you over as you groan in disapproval.

It's nothing more than a small wound, likely from hitting or scraping against a rock when you first dove in.

With the other injuries that could've happened, you feel rather lucky.

Jake is the one who bandages you up, and you're doing just fine in no time. It really wasn't that big of a deal.

They've had their vests and jackets off for a while, leaving them to dry.

You'd held on to yours; too stunned to even move - let alone think properly.

Jake pries it from you slowly, and hangs it over the little clothesline he made to dry off the jackets faster.

Midnight is approaching.

If there's one thing you're glad for, it's the fact that the watches don't run on the same software as the trackers do.

So they'll hold true all the same.

Even with the time conversions considering the different planets cycle.

Jake comes to lay with you for a bit, holding the back of your head in his hand as he kisses your forehead like a normal part of routine.

He suddenly moves his hand over, and flicks your forehead.

"Ow! What was that for?" You ask defensively.

"You were apologizing earlier. For something you couldn't control. I know you're probably beating yourself up for it and I want you to stop."

He definitely sounds more strict tonight.
Probably because he's in his Marine Survival 101 mode.
