"I appreciate the help, Da'mik."
He's slowly lifting you up as you lean against his shoulder for security.
The injury is better, despite the small bruises.

"It's nothin." He remarks, having to lean down just the smallest bit as you walk down the hallway together.
"Can't believe Uncle Norm grounded you for a few days, though. That's hilarious."

"Oh I'll get him back for it eventually." You have to stop for a moment as your slipper partially falls off from the unstable walking.
"- He better sleep with one eye open. I mean it. Hell, I'd throw my shoe at him if I could bend down all the way."

"So, is it okay if I hang out with Lia and Niikeym tonight?" He voice oddly trails off at the end.

"Niikeym and Lia? Why would you ask?"

"Well, and Kiri's coming too."

"Where are you kids going?"

"Out to the other side of hells gate?" He more-so asks rather than states out of worry you'd be upset. "We wanted to go over some of graces old videos, maybe see some of dads?"

"Oh, well that's fine. But don't leave the base. I don't need you kids outside past dark without an adult."

"You do know we're all closing in on becoming adults soon, right ma?"

"Please, for the sake of my knees and my back. Don't remind me. I don't like realizing how much time has passed."

The grin he shares is just as beautiful as his fathers, something you missed so dearly.

"Is Lo'ak going to be with Tuk tonight, then?" You feel odd having to be updated, but Jake's taken over managing them so you could focus on resting. Between the pain killers, you could barely focus on anything else.

"And Spider." Da'mik adds.
"Max is spending some time with them tonight."

"I think that's sweet that they want to learn about what he does."

You both approach the avatar driver room where Norm now stands at, he's getting ready to link in when he hears you stumble to your pod.

"Hey you two." He raises a hand as he's still laying in the bed, checking the progress of the link himself before he shuts in.
He watches as you open yours.
"You sure you're good to go tonight?" He asks, worried.

"I'm fine, Norm. You can stop babying me so much, yknow?"

"You say that like Da'mik didn't just have to drag your ass in here."

Da'mik snorts at the bickering between the two of you.
"Don't drag me into this." He raises his hands. "-I have no interest in this cat fight."

"I planned a date night with Jake if you must know." An added bit of info meant for Norm for hear. "And I don't intend on missing it."

"Alright, alright. I'll leave you be.
But if your back is fucked up from not supporting it right don't come for me."

"Are you kidding? I'll blame you regardless."
You're pressing a few numbers into the side panel, each pod and link having their own codes and signs so they aren't mixed between each individual one.

"I'd say don't make me come over there, but you're lucky I'm above hurting someone who's already down."
He's sitting up a bit more now, projecting his voice as you lower in to the metal chest covering.

"As if. You're not physically harmful, just emotionally and socially annoying."

"Would you shut up and go see your husband, already?" Norm scoffs with a faded half-smile.
