Tonowari stands at the edge of your hut, with Jake only inches from him as they're going over a few things.

A tulkun came in today, and reported a devastating loss of Ronal's spirit sister and her baby. The ships were getting closer as time passed, making their mark and announcing their presence as loudly and as painfully as they could.

There were many plans, and many things to talk out amongst the clan as they try to prepare for what to do.

The kids were all around you.. watching, waiting. Listening.

Nothing in this situation even remotely compared to the pain in lo'ak's eyes, even as Tsireya joined and was sitting beside him and Tuk in the back corner.

Whereas Niikeym, Da'mik, and Kiri huddled together.

Everyone's unsure of what to do, and everyone's scared for the Tulkun.

Jake calls for you, and insists you both go to check out the damage with Tonowari and Ronal.

It's one of the most devastating things you've ever seen.

Your hand covers your mouth as you begin to tear up, watching the floating calf turn and bob against the water.

The poor thing having starved from its mothers death.

And you can still hear Ronal's screaming from the other end.

A pain that hits too close to home.

You never wanted this.

You fully believed Jake had the right idea about leaving, about moving away, about hiding and keeping everyone safe. So certain that wherever you went, this wouldn't happen.

"God Damnit."
Jake says so suddenly as his head tilts, watching the color flashing on the red tracker device before you both.

The one thing that ultimately left the poor Tulkun and her child for death.

He moves you both slowly to it, and is able to shut it off and detach it, holding it in his palms as blood soaks his fingers and the item.

He spares you a glance over his shoulder, his clean hand reaching back to feel against your thighs as he sensed the heavy weight on your mind... this only brings more reasons to worry. The last thing either of you, or your new family needed.

"I'll have to take this back and look over it." He says with a saddened, broken, and monotone voice.

You sit with Niikeym and Tuk as they're the only two who stayed home, the others joining Tonowaris family as you came back and wanted to be there for Tsireya and Aonung.

Niikeym... was wherever Tuk was. One of his many defining characteristics.

He refused to leave her as she sit there, crying and sobbing into his chest. He knew what this threat meant, and he was scared for his younger siblings.
