"Okay, okay, hold on there, baby girl." You reach out for Tuk who is a few steps ahead of you.. taking after the kids as they follow their father.
Their favorite thing to do lately when everyone's together is usually going out to creek, but this time they've to taken jumping off the nearby shallow waterfall... and ever since Jake started taking them on days off from training... Tuk was always jealous that she couldn't go. She was too small back then or had to be carried down to the water.
And today is the first day she gets to try. She stands there for now, chewing on her fingers... glaring over the edge .. watching her brothers heads pop out of the water.
"Come on, Tuk! You can do it!" Lo'ak shouts. "The waters a bit cold, but it's fine!"
"You can do it, my little warrior!" Niikeym adds. "I believe in you!"
She isn't so sure, despite how much she's asked to join... Now grabbing on for your thigh as she worries about slipping.
Da'mik runs by, and soon joins the others as he hits the water with a large cannonball.
"Mommy." She whines out and steps back. "I can't do it."
"Awww, Tuk." You kneel down to her height, and lift her up so she feels more secure against your Avatar.
"I know, it can be scary. But you'll get it eventually. If not today, we can try again later."Niikeym notices the way his youngest sister acts, and pushes away from the others as Jake and Lo'ak are wrestling with Kiri.
He climbs up in no time; and stands next to you as he offers a hand to Tuk.
"My sweet baby sister." He coos. "You're a strong warrior, aren't you?"She hesitates at first, but eventually reaches out and holds his hand before he takes her completely.
She was always his favorite, her most encouraging.
Your heart melts at the little noise she makes.
"You want to jump together with Mom?" He asks her. "We can all go at once, and Dad is down there all ready to meet us. How does that sound?"
Tuk's little frown is still there as she sees the larger distance, and folds in on Niikeym.
Da'mik has found his way back up, and (unfortunately) removes his mask for a second as he spares her a kiss on the temple before he jumps in —- to which Spider suddenly shows out of nowhere as he goes in after him.
"Da'mik. Stop taking your mask off without asking for permission first!" You try to yell out at him, but you're not too sure he even cared to listen just then. You'd have to get him later for it.
"See?" Niikeym shows her. "Our brothers have it easy, and they're the same size you are.
I know you can do it."You lean down a bit and rub your palm against the back of her head.
"What would you like to do, Tuk?""I ... wanna try." She says, looking up at Niikeym like hes her whole world.
And he looks at her.
"Together?"She gives a small nod.
"Alright, then! Let's go my little warrior!"
He says excitedly, and sets her down so she can reach up for both of your hands and walk with you. "-Hold on tight, baby sister.""You want to count us off, Tuk? We jump on three?"
And it's so cute the way she does, despite closing her eyes after you all take off at the end.The initial jump is fine, but damn the water was a lot colder than Lo'ak led on.
