Chapter 26
A piercing sound woke me from my sleep; I shifted on to my side before bringing my hand down to stop it. I groggily opened my eyes, 7:00am great. I really wanted a lie in just today but I had things to do. I didn’t go back to school after the whole to do with Noah but it didn’t really matter seeing as school was now finished for the Christmas.
It was only two days before Christmas now and because of having my mind on other things I totally forgot which brings me back to getting up this early. I had to get Melissa a present even though I didn’t want to plus Noah, Megan and of course Jake.
I haven’t really spoken to Melissa since the other night but not that it bothered me. The morning after the ‘kidnap’ I happily woke up cuddled into Jake’s chest while his soft snores filled the room, a few minutes he had woke up and not long after that said that he had stuff to do and was on his way. I hadn’t spoken to him since then, well we have been texting but I haven’t seen him in person.
Me and Melissa have just been avoiding her after my outburst and well Noah is still Noah just a little less creepy. He still makes sure that I’m eating all my food and we make general chit chat but that’s mostly it. Plus I haven’t had any texts off that number which I’m not too sure if I’m happy about that or sad. I still want to know the reason why my real parents gave me away illegally and my other parents didn’t tell me.
I hopped out of bed feeling fresh even though it was really early, today was going to be a good day I could feel it. I headed over to my wardrobe and picked out some black skinny jeans and a black long sleeved top, I picked out some underwear than made my way to the bathroom.
I didn’t lock the door, there was no point I already knew that Melissa and Noah had gone to work, though I’m still not sure what kind of work Noah does but I don’t think I want to find out.
After doing what I had to do, I re-entered back into my room, I was happy with my choice of clothes now. The house was freezing so I can only image that it will be even worse outside. I was really looking forward to today; Meg also needed to get some things so she was coming with me. I was glad really; she had a car so we could go further out to some better shops, plus I haven’t really seen her or spoke to her in ages.
I left my hair down in its natural waves then applied some foundation and just mascara; I didn’t really feel like having heavy make-up on today. I grabbed my bag, putting my phone and house keys on it. I checked the time; it was now nearing 7:40 which meant I still had 20 minutes before Megan would be here.
I grabbed everything I needed then headed down the stairs, I dropped my bag by the door but took my phone out. I walked into the living room and flicked the telly on. There wasn’t much on this time in the morning, just rubbish telly mainly programmes for kids, I flicked through some of the channels before just decided on music. Teenage dream by Katy Perry was now blasting throughout the house.
“YOU MAKE ME FEEL LIKE IM LIVING A TEENAGE DREAM!” I belted out at the top of my lungs, well it was more like a scream but I didn’t care. I carried on prancing about the living room, climbing on the sofa pretending that I was the one who was singing.
A chuckle from behind me brought me out of dreamland.
“Never be a singer or dancer for that matter” An amused voice chuckled and straight away I knew who that belong too.
“Pfft your just jealous that I’m going to be the next star, but don’t worry I won’t forget you when I’m famous” I smirked back at my best friend.
“The only thing you’ll be famous will be holding the record for bursting many people’s eardrums”
“Hey! I’m not that bad” I pouted at Megs smirk
