Chapter 27
I couldn’t sleep not after that text, I have no idea what the time is now but it really didn’t matter anyways I was too confused to sleep. I just kept dropping off and then waking up, I really need to find out who this person is sending me the texts. Basically there saying that I have met this person or so to speak my brother and I hadn’t even realised. My stomach began churning just thinking about it.
I shifted myself so that my back was now facing the wall and I was now facing a sleeping Megan all snuggled up in the corner. Her hair was all over her face, she had her right hand resting on her forehead and the other tucked under her pillow in all honesty it didn’t look like a very comfy position.
It was still dark out, I’m not sure whether that’s because it’s because it’s still the middle of the night or it was just the clouds. Just to make sure I picked my phone off the bedside table and flicked it on, 5:00am it read.
“No wonder I’m so tired” I moaned to myself. I placed the phone back on the side and turned back around; I wasn’t going to get up at this time. No way. My eyes began to droop again, I felt relaxed well that was until that message came back into my head.
My eyes suddenly popped open and I felt wide awake, don’t they usually say that if you wake up in the middle of the night or something that it means someone is watching you? A shiver ran up my spine just thinking about it.
I was staring straight at my white ceiling; it was like I could feel someone’s eyes on me. I could just picture turning round and there just being a face right there. My heart rate picked up; ugh I really need to stop freaking myself out.
I can do this, all I have to do is turn my head and there will be no one there, nope not a single soul. Okay just count to three and look. Okay here goes.
“1...2...3 Go!” I mentally screamed to myself yet found myself still lying in the same position. Wow I really am I wimp. I started to count again but this time I swiftly turned my head.
“ARGH!” I screeched, pulling the covers over my head. There really was a head right in front of my face, I felt like my heart was going to jolt right out of my chest, I held my hand over my heart as if it would help to stop it from coming out.
“Oh my god! That was the funniest thing I have seen in a while!” Megan voice bellowed along with her laughter. I pulled back the covers and watched as she was lying in a ball on the floor giggling. “Y-you should of saw y-our f-fa-ce!” She laughed even harder as I just glared at the amused girl.
“It wasn’t funny” I growled, she seen sobered up and looked at me, her face became hard and serious just like mine. Well that was until another grin slowly began to appear.
“Oh man, I should have recorded it! Well that’s one way to wake you up in the morning.” I leaned out of my head, and beckoned her to come closer to me with my index finger. She moved with caution, crawling over to me, one she was close enough I lent in closer to her before bringing my hand back and snaking her playfully on the face of the head.
“Hey! That’s mean” She moaned rubbing the back of her head dramatically.
“That was mean?! You’re the one who scared me half to death!” I barked, but all this did was make Meg laugh even more.
“You’re so grumpy in the morning, you need to lighten up!” She cheered
“How can you be so happy? What’s there to be happy about that this time?” I mumbled, laying my head back on my pillow.
“Are you stupid?” Megan questioned, I twisted my head back to look at her. She sat there with one eyebrow cocked up but still looked very serious. I wanted to laugh; Megan didn’t suit the serious look.
