After that day in the radio station, you really just wanted to be alone. Kai had already confused you by pretending to like you and then admit it was some giant ploy to make Rodrick jealous and SURPRISE! Kai is actually gay. Which you should've guessed because Kai's only other friends were Lesbians. Then it gets even weirder when Kai tells you him and Rodrick were kind of a thing and they kissed and Rodrick made it homophobic and now you can't decide what to do with either of their friendships.

You and Kai were friends because he acted normal and his emotions weren't all over the place. You and Rodrick were friends because at first you were forced to be and then you started to hang out more and he became your himbo to entertain you, but then...? It honestly seemed like you two were genuinely friends and cared for one another, but... Again, Rodrick made things complicated by getting slightly flirty with you and then confusing how you felt about him.

Which sure, you admit that you had been fooling around with his feelings as well. You knew how to set him off and push his buttons to make him mad because it made you laugh. But when he turned that shit around on you? Oh man, does that piss you off even more. And you should have never let on that when he did stuff like that, the kissing, the touching, the way he speaks; you should have never let on that it pisses you off.

Which reminds you, you left him this morning alone in his bed. AND HE DIDN'T EVEN GIVE YOU A BIRTHDAY GIFT. And no, his t-shirt doesn't count as a gift. He owes you a real gift and no, not even his presence counts because you know he would say shit like that.

But the fact of the matter was, it had been weeks since that day in the radio station. Weeks since your birthday. And weeks since you had talked to Kai or Rodrick.

You weren't ignoring either of them. You weren't allowed to see them. Your Father had found out about your birthday party and you were on literal house arrest. Not figuratively or anything like that. You had a literal ankle monitor on. You didn't get a police charge, but your Father knows people and asked if he could borrow one. BORROW A FUCKING ANKLE MONITOR. Only your Father would do this for you.

So, let's recap how this exactly happened because even you were fucking confused on how you became a little criminal.

After you had gone home from the Radio Station, Mabel and your Father were in the kitchen speaking with each other. More like, your Father was yelling at Mabel which you took offense to.

"Why are you yelling at Mabel?" You asked annoyed. You strided over to the kitchen and took a tangerine from the fruit bowl sitting on the counter. You started to peel away when your Father snapped at you.

"I should be yelling at you, [Y/N]! You threw a party with alcohol, drugs, and SEX! You are ruining this family with your little outburst of teen rebellion!" You Father throws his finger in your face and you are taken aback. First, how does he know about ANY of this? The alcohol sure, but the only drugs were with Rodrick and that was at HIS house, not yours. And the sex was Madison and Heather, which seriously, how did your Father know about? Second, there's no way this is ruining the family in any way.

"Really? I'm ruining this family? We aren't even a FAMILY, for Christ's sake! You are never here! I'm always alone! I know Mabel has a job too, but I at least see her! And she makes my lunch and writes me notes and gives an actual shit about me! You are never here! You aren't even-" WHACK. You feel the sting of your tears first before the sting on your cheek. Through teary eyes, you look at your Father in shock. He has NEVER hit you. Ever. You never thought he was capable of such violence. Sure, he fires people and is a cold, heartless monster, but hitting children? Never.

Your eyes fall to Mabel who is also silent. She won't even look up from the ground. You reach your fingertips to your mouth and feel a wetness. As you pull your hand away there is blood. Just the slight drop of it makes your stomach turn. You weren't scared of blood, but you were scared about how it was on your face and the reason why it was there. The room remains silent before your Father starts to speak again.
