We all got dressed and ready before going to the Evans' family home. The door swung open, revealing Ellie with a huge smile on her face. "Mar, you're here. How did you get more beautiful since I last saw you?" I laughed and thanked her, allowing her to wrap her arms around me and I returned the hug.

"Hey, Ellie." I whispered.

"Aw, look at you." She cupped my cheeks and her smile widened. "How are you, honey?"

"I'm good, you?"

"I've been managing." Her smile faltered slightly before her eyes dropped down to Manny and it returned. "Hi, Manny." He stood behind Niko's leg, hiding himself slightly.

"This is my mum, Manny, you remember her, right?" He nodded slowly.

"Ma mamie? (My grandma?)" I nodded, a smile coming onto my face when I realised Manny finally has someone to call grandma.

"It just means grandma in French, Ellie." I said to her when I noticed her confused expression. Manny went over to hug her and they went inside, talking to each other.

Niko took my hand, kissed my forehead and we walked into the house, following behind Ellie and Manny.

"Hey, chica." Mae said, coming over to hug me and Blue nodded at me.

"Hi, can you two take Ant and Manny to Papa please?"

"Yeah, sure."

"I'll see you up there in a bit." I said to Ant but he barely looked at me.

"What happened?" Ellie asked, noticing the tension between us.

"He blamed Niko for Papa getting shot and I told him it wasn't his fault. It just led to an argument between us and now he doesn't even want to look at me."

"Oh, honey, don't worry. He'll be stubborn about it for a bit but he'll come around sooner or later." I smiled weakly at her and was about to respond but Nikolai's shouting made me close my mouth instantly.

"What the fuck are you doing here?" I turned around to see his dad at the doorway. Niko gently moved me behind him but looked ready to fight his dad.

"I've missed you too, son." He laughed. "No hug for your old man either then?"

"Get out!" He yelled at him.

"You can't kick me out of my own house."

"You can't be here." Ellie said quietly to him. "You don't live here anymore."

"Blue told me to come."

"No he didn't."

"I did, Mum, I'm sorry. The whole family needs to be protected. Unfortunately, he's included in that." Blue said, walking in to the main room.

"You could've put him in a safe house or something, he doesn't need to be here, Blue." I took Niko's hand as I watched his cheeks go red from anger.

"Hey, it's ok." I said softly, pulling him back.

"Listen to your woman, Nikolai." I rolled my eyes at him and a familiar screeching voice came from the door.

"Hello, everybody."

"Blue, you brought Annie here too?" I asked in shock.

"Fuck, no. I don't even know how she got in." She walked over to Mr Evans and left a lingering kiss on his lips and he wrapped his arm around her shoulder. I felt like I was going to throw up in my mouth.
