...

The harsh grasp of his hand on your throat choked out any amount of air that would have reached your lungs. Nails as sharp as knives threatening to slit your jugular and let the crimson liquid spill into his palm.

No one has ever before dared to enter his temple -his home- and lived. So why? Why did a young woman such as this one decide to tempt fate and test her life?

"Pl-Please... don't..." She choked out, blood pooling from her lips.

Sukuna sneered in disgust at the sight. "Why shouldn't I?"

Fat tears spilled from the corners of your eyes, shaking and trying to stay composed so as to not upset the curse further. You knew death was going to come easy if you said the wrong things or did something to annoy him.

"I caught you scavenging like a pathetic rat in my kitchen." Eyes that could cut diamonds pierced your heart. "How dare you, human?"

"...D-Didn't mean... upset you...."

"Pathetic. A mortal like you shouldn't be allowed another ounce of breath."

You knew he was right; you had gone into his home looking for food. Tempting the gods into giving you a punishment by his hand. The King of Curses finding you looking for food and stealing from him was going to have a consequence, and yet you didn't care.

You were hungry, on the verge of death even.

"Please... let me.. pay you.." You cried, your whimpering growing quiet as air was sucked from your chest.

"Pay me? PAY ME?" A loud bellow left the cursed king, the laugh rattling your bones and heart to the core.

"You wish to pay for that food you tried to steal from me? That's laughable. I wouldn't allow it even if you got on your hands and knees and begged for forgiveness."

With a swift recoil of his arm, Sukuna threw you into a wall. A crack echoing from the back of your skull before you landed on the ground, a bleeding and coughing mess. His footsteps slowly numbed into the background as an ear-splitting headache surfaced.

"If you wish to live, however.."

Blood, spit and tears collected in a small puddle on the floor as Sukuna spoke. The ringing in your head makes you cry into a shriveled up mess of misery.

"You'll cook, clean, and serve me whichever way I wish."

His hand came down on the back of your head, nails digging into your temples as Sukuna lifted your gaze to him again.

"Do I make myself perfectly clear?"

Unable to nod, you gave a small 'yes' as you desperately held back a cough. Sukuna scoffed, releasing your head and dropping you onto the cold floor. He turned his attention to the servant that was peeping in on the conversation, calling them over and speaking to them.

"Uraume, take this.... human.. to the showers." Sukuna's voice was slowly fading into the buzzing noise. "Make sure she's taken care of by tomorrow morning."

"Yes, Sukuna." The servant mumbled, bowing their head slightly before turning to you.

Sukuna took one more look down at you and turned, heading towards the temple doors and out to only God knows where. The person called 'Uraume' stepped forward and knelt down, gesturing for you to stand and grab a hold of their hand.

"Th-Thank you." You mumbled, though didn't think you should've.

"You're welcome." They mumbled, hooking your arm around their neck and placing their hand around your waist. "Let's go."
