...
Silence. The only sound was rushing water and your heart thumping in your rib cage. Constant, unrelenting, never stopping. Even your breaths had became uneven as you stood still, in fear you’d enrage Sukuna further and gave an audible gulp.
“..Yes." Was all Sukuna muttered before grabbing your shoulders and standing you up again.
After a long pause, Sukuna dumped some water on you. Rinsing off your body and then doing the same for himself and grabbing a towel to wrap around his waist. Exiting the springs to turn to you, and that’s when you saw his flushed cheeks.
Eyes beamed a soft red, and cheeks were tinted a shade of pink that made your heart flipped in your chest.
Why is he blushing?
“Get ready for supper.” He said, leaving you alone to take back the excess towels and get dressed.
You soon exited the springs and dried off —looking around meanwhile to make sure Sukuna was actually gone— and quickly wrapping your clothing around you as a cover until you got inside the shrine to change into something more comfortably suitable.
Pushing open the large shrine doors, you spotted Uraume near the entrance and waved them over.
“What’re you doing half dressed, dear?” They asked, taking the towels from your and escorting you to your room.
“I just put this on in a hurry.” You explained, wrapping the cloth tighter around you, getting colder as you reached your room.
“Sukuna and I took a bath in the hot springs and he told me to get ready for supper, so- yeah.”
Uraume shook their head, a grin on their face as they opened your door and led you inside. Quickly sitting you on your bed and going over to your closet to pull out a light, night dress.
It was made of silk with a small pink rose bud in the center of the bust. Once you put it on, the length of the silk dress ended mid-thigh, and it made your cheeks flush a similar pink tone as the small bud.
“There, better?” Uraume asked, dusting off your shoulders and turning you around to dry off your hair with one of the extra towels.
“Yes, thank you.”
Silently, Uraume worked on your hair and brushed it. Sometimes playing with your silky and fluffy hair. Accidentally yanking on your hair hard enough to cause a yelp, with an apology or two from them afterward.
“Done, like it?” They finally asked, smiling when they handed you a small mirror to admire yourself in. “Sukuna handed these to me and asked me to put them in your hair.”
Blue tiger lilies were woven into your braided hair, some small and some large, but all were beautiful. You jaw dropped, seeing your clean complexion in the mirror and with the lilies adding an embarrassing sweetness to you.
“S-Sukuna gave you these?” You questioned, running a finger across one of the petals.
“Mhm, he said he wanted to present you to one of the village chiefs someday.”
"Present me?"
What did that mean? Did that mean he was going to kill you? Is that why he had been so nice lately?
“Uhm, what does that mean?” You mumbled, lowering your hand from the hand-grown flower and placing the mirror down on the bed.
Uraume sent you a mixed look that was full of confusion and concern, wondering why the sudden change of heart. “What’s wrong? Don’t you like them?”
