I fell Joe grabbing my hand and dragging me to the police office. ''We should be safe here for a while, shouldn't we?'' Joe said, he looked extremely happy to have a place to rest. ''We have to clear every single room first.'' I told Joe and looked at the weapon I was holding. Mister Stone might be the worst weapon to fight zombies, but it was all I could find. Joe was holding a pointy stick, which was better. ''Alright, stay close.'' I told him and tried to open the door. Of course the door was locked, so I had to use all my power to kick it open. Joe helped aswell, but we couldn't open the freaking door. I stepped back and looked up. There were a few windows on the first floor, easy to reach. ''There.'' I said and pointed at the window. ''And how will I get up there?'' Joe asked me surprised by the fact that I was already half way up there. ''You stay quiet, I'll open the door from the inside.'' I whispered and yelled at the same time. Joe nodded and settled himself against the building.

I slammed into the window and let myself fall on the wooden floor. Right now I was in the main office. It had a big desk with a comfortable looking chair in it, aswell as some cacti and decorations. Stumbling through every room, making less noises as possible, I tried to clear every room. Luckily it wasn't a very big office, 3 rooms upstairs and 4 downstairs. After clearing upstairs, I heard some moaning downstairs. ''Oh god.'' I whispered to myself and turned around to find any better weapons. I walked back to the main office and looked under the desk. As expected there was a gab for a gun, but the gun wasn't in its place. In the drawers there were only some pencils and scissors. I decided to grab the scissors and use these as weapon.

I made my way downstairs and clicked on the light button, nothing happened of course. One of the rooms was a kitchen, nothing special and luckily without Walkers. I walked into the next room, which appeared to be a single cell. A moan sounded really close now. I prepared for the fight, and knocked on the wall to attract the Walker but nothing happened except for more moaning. I walked forward while my eyes slowly got used to the dark. There was one small window in this room. A loud sound of iron bars banging against my forehead continued by a painful moan by me which caused more moaning of the Walker. When my eyes got used to the dark, I noticed a yellow suit moving behind the iron bars and I quickly checked if there was a gab somewhere in the bars. After not finding a gab, I looked at the prisoner. Died from hunger, born from death.

The last room was a waiting room, which automatically lead to the front door. After I unlocked the door, Joe immediately ran in. ''Close it.'' He said in hurry and I did as he said. In a rush I locked the door again and now looked at Joe, waiting for him to explain the hurry. ''There's a wave of Biters coming, probably over a hundred of them.'' He said and sighed relieved. ''We're two lucky survivors.'' I said without smiling and turned around to walk to the kitchen. ''You push that couch against the door while I search for some supplies.'' I instructed Joe and he did what I asked him. My eyes lead me to the kitchen, and soon the fridge was open. There wasn't much use in there, everything was either covered in mold or empty. I searched through every counter and found a few tins with vegetables and fish. After the search, I checked if the tap water was still working and luckily it was.

I walked to Joe, who was now sitting on the couch. He looked up and smiled when he saw the food I was holding. We split the food and began eating some of it. ''So, where were you before you got kidnapped?'' I asked him and stuck a bit of fish in my mouth. ''I was with my friends, just at home. We felt safe there.'' Joe looked sad. ''We're never safe.'' I whispered, repeating the words of daddy. ''Thanks for comforting me.'' Joe said sarcastically and chuckled. ''No problem.'' I laughed and ate the last bit of fish. ''Where were you just before you found me?'' Joe asked me as he looked at me. ''I found two boys who were scarring their pants of in their apartment. They wanted me to leave but gave me some of their supplies to take with me. A few days after I left I found you.'' I told Joe and got curious about how the two boys were doing. ''Two boys?'' Joe asked curious and wanted me to tell him more. ''Blondie and brownie. Both a bit taller than you. They looked so scared, I felt so bad for them but they were safe where they were.'' I continued. ''Didn't they hurt you?'' Joe asked and ate the last bit of vegetables. ''Not at all, Caspar held me under shot while Oli packed me some food.'' With that Joe jumped up. ''Caspar and Oli?'' He said, almost screamed. ''Yes, and keep quiet.'' I said in normal volume and looked at Joe who was freaking out. ''Are they the friends you were with?'' I asked Joe when I made the connection. He nodded heavily. ''We need to go back, do you remember where to go?'' He asked me. I nodded and pulled Joe next to me. ''We'll go back tomorrow, alright. We need one night of good sleep so badly.'' I said to Joe who agreed but kept smiling. ''They'll be alright, won't they?'' He asked as he laid down on the couch. Unlucky for us, there was only one couch and neither of us wanted the other to sleep on the ground. ''Probably, yeah.'' I said and looked at the happy guy. ''Come on, the faster we sleep the faster we'll find my friends.'' Joe said and pulled me next to him. We were spooning on the couch, which I didn't even realize at that moment. Joe didn't make any sense by now, but it was funny how happy he could be in this shitty situation.
