''Jefferson? As in Stalker Jefferson?'' Joe asked slowly and stepped forward as he grabbed my middle and pulled me a step back. ''Yes, indeed. I am sure you are bombed with questions, but I'll be happy to answer each one of them. Only if, as Deanne mentioned, at least Deanne and Joe will help us do the research. We know you might not trust us at all, and we understand that you might feel like we are some sort of Camp KIDE 2.0, but you will just need to do what feels right.'' Jefferson actually sounded like a really nice man, and I immediately felt like I could trust him but I didn't. Too much had happened to make a mistake.

''What do you guys think?'' I asked the group as I turned around to see mainly Joe's worried face. ''I say we ask him 2 questions before we get into this creepy place.'' Marcus suggested wisely. As soon as everyone agreed, I turned around and looked Nicolas right in the eyes. ''Jefferson.'' I started, and tried to think of one question since the rest of the group was still a bit taken back. ''Did you know we would settle into the café and find out about the CDC?'' I asked him as he listened quietly. ''No. After Camp KIDE went down, I lost you two. I didn't know where the café was, I had been in for the last few days but I still knew in which direction the HQ was so I decided to go this way.'' He sounded honestly as shit, but didn't the Camp KIDE people sound like that aswell?

As he finished his answer, I waited for someone else to ask the second question. It was Joe, and he had a really good question in my opinion.

''Where's Charlie?'' Such a short question it was. I knew Jim, Alfie, Marcus and the other girls would probably find this a useless question, but this could actually get really interesting. We knew that, if Charlie was real, he'd be Jefferson's son. I just know that no father would just leave his son without knowing if he'd be safe.

''You found the letter, didn't you?'' Jefferson started and sighed. ''Charlie is, as you might know after reading my personal letter.'' He started and paused so we knew he didn't like the fact that some of us read the letter. ''My son. Charlie's only 4 years old and he's currently safely living in the CDC.'' Was all he wanted to mention about his son. Both my mind and heart said Jefferson was someone you could trust. He really looked sensitive about his son, but maybe he was just acting.

''I think we should just do it. We've no other place to go, do we?'' Zoe's high voice sounded, and Alfie agreed with her. ''I think we can all agree on that.'' Marcus agreed and we all gave in. Maybe this was another horrible decision, but this might be worth it.

Jefferson leaded us immediately to our rooms. Apparently this building had over 100 bedrooms with each 2 bunk beds. He separated us since Joe and I were still the important ones for him. They basically just added 1 bed to the room of Alfie's, Zoe's, Marcus', Tanya's and Jim's so they could still be together while me and Joe would be on a room with two others. Jefferson actually really tried to let us be with our friends, which actually made me want to trust him even more.

''And here are your rooms, Deanne Rawley and Joeseph Sugg.'' Jefferson opened the door and waited for us to go in. The bunk beds looked much more comfortable than the way they looked at Camp KIDE. ''Can you please tell us a bit about our roommates?'' Joe asked, I knew he wasn't really the best at socializing and neither was I. ''They are brother and sister. They're from a foreign country and they've been here for the last few days. We're still trying to figure out if they're Special but we're not sure yet. That's all I can say for now, actually.'' Jefferson explained as he pointed at the little bathroom that was included in our room. ''Thanks.'' I said politely. Jefferson nodded friendly and left us alone. I shut the door behind him and immediately looked at Joe. ''You're sure about this?'' I asked him and felt a bit stressed. The Camp KIDE happening was still repeating time after time in my mind. ''We can't be sure about anything nowadays, can we?'' He asked me as he grabbed my hand and pulled me closer to him. I chuckled about his way of handling things and looked him right in the eyes. ''How long have we known each other?'' He asked me and still hold both of my hands with his hands. His hands were warm, almost sweaty but I couldn't lie about the fact that mine felt the same. ''I lost count.'' I chuckled and looked down to our hands. Joe laughed and looked down aswell. It somehow made me look up again and then there was something some could describe as romantic. Without any explanation, he just did it like he was so sure about himself. I knew he wasn't, and maybe that was one of the things I liked about him. He raised his head and looked at me right into my eyes again. His hair looked fluffy because of the long journey and dry weather and his cheeks were red. He didn't close his eyes until the moment he pushed his lips onto mine. Everything happened so fast, and I couldn't really think straight but I did knew that I liked it. I liked him. He backed off and waited for any good sign of me. I smiled which caused him to smile aswell.

Maybe it was only a quick peck on the lips for him, but for me it meant I just had my first ever kiss.
