''What the fuck?'' Joe spoke out loud and I almost heard his heart beat fasten up. ''Some of us aren't attractive for the Biters, what the actual shit?!'' Joe yelled through the house and I immediately shushed him down. ''You're attracting the Walkers with your yelling!'' I hissed but Joe didn't really calm down. ''Haven't you read this? They won't eat us anyway!'' Joe said as he threw the important papers on the ground. ''We're a project, Joe. It's not finished yet.'' I told him on a much calmer level. ''I can't believe they have been stalking us. This creep could've saved our lives multiply times for god's sake.'' Joe hissed while he stroke with his hand through his hair. ''We should read this whole thing to the group.'' I said and kneeled down to grab the paper. With that a moan escaped from my mouth. The wound was still hurting like a bad ass. ''Steady, love.'' Joe immediately helped me get up and lead me to the main room again.
''Found something again?'' Marcus asked as we appeared in the room. We immediately caught everyone's attention, which was useful. ''We found some pretty interesting shit hiding behind the bathroom mirror, actually.'' I told everyone as I said on a chair. ''Listen to this, alright.'' I said as I read the same little bit out loud. All of these survivors now were sitting with open mouths, no one had questions. They just wanted me to continue reading the paper.
''Day one. After I heard screaming coming from the woods, I immediately tracked the people down. It were a boy and a girl, both probably having the perfect age. The boy was attached to the tree, and Dead was trying to get him. This may or may not be a good sign. Dead won't eat the Special after they find out it's not an enemy. This can either be before a scratch and bite or after.
The girl who saved the boy was really powerful. Death was coming for her aswell, but she was perfectly able to save both the boy and herself.'' I paused and looked at the audience, and then to Joe who was looking down at his feet.
I read the pages, every single day Joe and I had been together had some memories written down. As we came to the last few days, things were getting even scarier.
''Joe and Deanne went on their friend's house. At exactly 2 in the morning, a few people got into the same house and kidnapped the two teenagers. I tried to follow as far as possible, and I discovered they were brought to Camp KIDE. Also known as Kill Death. There's no way I can observe these people from outside Camp KIDE so I'm going to sneak in.'' Was the last piece he had written down. I looked up to see Joe standing right next to me, he clearly read along with me.
''He definitely still has his journeys of the very last days with him.'' Alfie said. ''We might want to look for those.'' Marcus agreed but I immediately shook my head. ''They're probably not even important. That guy's out there between hundreds of Walkers. It's basically the same as committing suicide.'' Joe disagreed and I honestly was with him. ''We have so much more information already. I don't think we should put ourselves in danger for just a little bit of extra information.'' I added and folded the papers together. ''Does the papers say where the headquarters are?'' Tanya asked me and I immediately unfolded the papers and looked for any address.
''Wiltshire.'' I spoke as I somehow remembered this name from somewhere. ''We should go there soon.'' Jim suggested and looked around to see the opinions of others. Of course it had it's negatives but I liked the idea to get out in the nature again. ''We should.'' I spoke but immediately Joe replied. ''You really need to rest first. And so does Zoe.'' He looked slightly concerned and waited for me to nod. ''I'm perfectly fine, but you're right. Zoe should rest a bit.'' Of course I had to take care of others aswell. It wasn't just about me. ''Now, I say we're going to take turns for the bedrooms.'' Joe continued and told what he came up with. There were three bedrooms. Two with a king-size bed and one with just a single bed. Joe figured that today I had to sleep in one of the beds and he'd sleep there aswell since he wanted to make sure I was fine. Zoe and Alfie were sharing a room aswell as they seemed to get along and of course Zoe was still recovering. Lastly Marcus had the single bed for the night.
Everyone got upstairs after a simple dinner. I looked from the little room to the sun which was setting. Joe appeared just behind me and rested with his head one my shoulder. ''It's beautiful.'' I said and smiled while I felt Joe's heartbeat. ''It is.'' He just whispered and looked at the beautiful sky. ''Come on, let's get you tucked in.'' He said as I got up and sat on the bedside. Joe walked to the other side of the bed and pulled of his shirt. I tried to concentrate on the sunset, but it didn't really work. I pulled of my shirt and pants as I got under the blankets. Joe quickly pulled of his dirty pants and did the same aswell. We were silence for just a little while, when Joe spoke. ''You think any of us is Special?'' You clearly hear he has been screaming today. ''I don't know. Alfie might be. Didn't he tell no single Walker tried to attack him?'' I answered and automatically moved closer to the warm body right next to me. ''He should consider himself lucky then.'' Joe replied and wrapped his arms around me. I guess this was just becoming the usual. We don't have anyone anymore, but little things like this made me happy. ''We're already lucky. Special or not.''
