I announced this on my Wattpad profile but I'm putting it here too. I'm taking a break for a while from writing, because the threats are getting way too out of hand. Idk when or if I'll be back fully, and I finished this chapter before I decided to take a break.

But since it's my birthday I decided to give y'all a treat.

Tw for this chapter: General Funeral things, mention of suicidal ideation/past suicide, vague yelling/fighting, crying, breaking down

When they had bought Tommy his suit for Schlatt's funeral Tommy thought he wouldn't be wearing it a second time. But it was less than just a few months between the last time he wore it and now.

It was weird to Tommy, he only owned two suits. This suit, and the suit he wore for his adoption. They sat side by side in his closet, and whenever Tommy looked at them he noticed how they represented the best and worst times in his life. Two sides of the same coin.

By this point Tommy knew how to tie his own tie, but it didn't stop Puffy from redoing it once they reached the funeral home where Liam's funeral was being held. Unlike Schlatt's parents, Puffy and Sam knew that Liam wouldn't want it to be held in a church.

"My tie looked fine Puffy." Tommy complained lightly, but Puffy just gave a sad smile.

"I know. Just let me fix it okay?" She asked softly and Tommy nodded. Puffy hadn't ever lost a kid like this before. She had almost lost Tommy several different times, but this was the first time that a kid in her care actually passed. Tommy knew this and was trying to be extra nice to her.

"Okay Puffy, thank you." He said and she nodded as she finished up the tie.

"You always look so handsome in a suit." She said lightly, tears welling in her eyes.

"Thanks Puffy." Tommy said and she turned away before the tears fell down her face. She never liked it when Tommy saw her cry.

They walked into the funeral parlor where several people were already seated. Tubbo, Ranboo and their parents were in the front row with the rest of the Watsons, and MD. Puffy and Tommy joined them close to the end of the pew, Phil on Tommy's right, Puffy on Tommy's left.

Others who knew Liam over time, Eret, Niki, Fundy, Dream, George, Foolish (who had XD with him) and others from group were in the rows behind. There was also people who Tommy didn't recognize but Puffy seemed to. After a moment Sam walked in with Ponk, and Dude the dog.

"Hey Sam, hi Ponk." Puffy smiled and she spotted Dude. "Hello Dude." She said as she reached out to pet the dog.

"Hi Puffy, hi Watsons." Sam said and the Watsons each gave an acknowledgement. "You seem to be doing well Tommy." Sam pointed and Tommy nodded, he hadn't seen the man since the adoption but it was nice to know that Sam remembered him.

After a second Dude pulled his head away from where Puffy was petting him. He turned and Sam seemed confused by his behavior. For a moment he thought that Dude had spotted XD, but that didn't seem to be the case. Dude started to bolt and ran to the front of the room where Liam's casket was.

"Dude!" Sam called but Dude managed to pull the leash out of Sam's hand. Dude went up to the casket and began to sniff it. Before Sam made it to the front of the room Dude began to lay down and whine. Everyone in the room felt really sad watching the dog. "Dude come on." Sam said, grabbing the leash where it laid on the floor next to the dog.

The dog didn't budge, just continued to whine while he stared at the casket. Sam pulled on his leash several times, but he didn't budge. Foolish stood up and walked towards the front with some dog treats he pulled from his bag, but even that couldn't get the dog to move. The funeral director stepped into the room at that moment and spotted what was going on.
