That night Koa sat in his office and smoked three spliffs so he could escape all that was happening around him. They haven't had a war in over two years and Koa was hoping that they would never have to have one again but of course due to unforeseen circumstances they could possibly have one on their hands right now.

He sat there and all he could think about was where it all went wrong for him. When and why did he become the Don?

Well his father was raised in Forest Gardens so he has family there that he would take him to visit frequently, although Koa was young he felt more love and peace in this community than his own home. His family there welcomed him with open arms and hearts filled with love so he was drawn there and after the death of his father, he visited them more frequently than before since they reminded him of him.

The title of "Don" has been passed down through his family for Decades but it was always a choice, if a male figure in the family didn't want to accept it they didn't have to. Koa's Grandfather (his dad's father) was don for a long time. He seemed to know exactly what he was doing since the community hadn't had anymore over 2 killings in his time.

Koa's grandfather saw something in him that he never saw in himself and he would tell him that one day, even though he didn't want to, he would become DON. He would feel like he was compelled to because if it's not him, nobody else will be able to lead the gang correctly.

After the death of his grandfather the "Don" title went to his cousin since his father was already a successful businessman and saw no need to jeopardize his family or business for that. Koa's cousin Riefe took it upon himself to be Don. However he wasn't in it to protect the people of the community, he merely saw it as him having power and making rules for everyone to follow.

His cousin was lousy, he used the gang to settle his personal disputes and use the money from the businesses his grandfather and generations before him built to acquire personal assets. With that the community started going downhill, violence was at an all time high due to the retaliation of his enemies. Women, children and innocent men were dying and Riefe did nothing but continue to let his greed control him.

But as was said before "a lousy leader may take a solid team and ruin it, driving the best workers away and demotivating the rest"

Most of the gang members left, died or simply just stopped taking orders from Riefe and as much as he was "Don" we all know that a don is nothing without his team. The community began to loathe him, his family wasn't even on his side anymore and that led him to leave.

Koa being 17 at the time and already a multimillionaire because of the money his dad left him, decided to use some of his money to restart businesses in the community and help families to pay for funerals and other expenses that were caused by his cousin.

Though it wasn't his intent his actions caused members of the community to look up to him and refer to him as the don. He found himself making some decisions to better the community and also trying to keep up with the legal businesses that his family has used as income and means to survive. But as we know you can't have one foot in and one foot out when it comes on to leadership. It's all or nothing

Enemies of his cousin continued to come back for blood even after Koa was just helping the community. They tried jilling Koa along with members of his family but were unsuccessful "cyah catch quako catch him shirt" nuh suh?

This led him to have to rebuild the gang, but his way with people he trusts. His friends were there for him in a heartbeat and supported his every decision. They swore to never let greed taint their motives and affect their love for each other as brothers. While they were sure that they had each other's backs through thick and thin, they weren't so sure about anyone else that would join on the way. That's how the inner gang was formed and they've been inseparable since.
