We got back to the forest cabin. Levi and the others were staying. They were most likely forced to clean the whole time. I was lucky, that I could just slip away with Hange during this.

"What's with the face?" Levi asked as we just stepped inside. His mental alarm goes off. "I will explain shortly, Levi... could you... make some tea for her...?" Hange pulled my arm gently to stand closer.

Levi looked down at my face, then my eyes. Something was up. He let out a soft sigh." Very well. Everyone gather at the table." Levi then barked orders at Eren and his friends.

Hange sat down on a sofa chair. As Levi motioned to sit next to him at the long table. Everyone else already took their seat.

Once the tea was ready, Levi brought it to the table. Hange waved a hand at the tea this time. It made me a bit sad. Levi quietly set my tea on the table, then slid it to me. He didn't expect me to talk much. He could tell by the look in my eyes that, I was processing things.

"So..tell me what happened?" Levi asked Hange.

"Pastor Nick...was murdered by the MPs I'm sure of it..I just couldn't believe that they would find out he was here. I hid him, in the barracks...thinking he would be safe. To think the MPs would find him there. Tortured, then killed him."

"Tourtured..??" Armin asked.

"Yes, all his nailbeds were empty.." Hange downcast their eyes. Levi took a sip of his tea. "People who talk, talk after one. Ripping out more, won't make a difference."

Hange gripped the chair's arm.

'I wondered if Erwin knows...?' I thought in the back of my mind. "Well _____...?" Levi's surprisingly soft and calm voice asked me. I took the teacup off my lips and swallowed the warm liquid. Levi patiently waited during my pause.

"...I think it's sad..., that they would do that. He wasn't the enemy." I looked back for a moment at Hange. "I'm sorry Hange..." She lifted her head slightly, giving me a tiny smile.

The door to the cabin slammed open suddenly.

"Captian!"

"Nifa..!" She smiled at me. I liked her, it was a long time since I last her. That was during Eren and Reiner's titan fight. "What is it?" Levi asked in an ordering tone.

"A letter from commander Erwin." Nifa handed Levi the letter.

"Levi's eyes quickly scanned it."Everyone get your gear, we need to go! Make it look like we weren't here."

"___! come. I'll help you get the horses." I followed Levi. Hange quickly helped hide everything in the cabin.

"Quickly get moving..!" On Levi's order, we rode off, some of us using the gear to scale the trees. We went up to a cliff.

"That was close...if we were any later, could they have found us?" Armin asked.

I was gasping for air, I was already tired. I didn't have time to relax after coming back from our trip. Now I was back up on my feet. I looked far out to our cabin where we were moments ago. I saw men, lots of them. One of them seemed to stand out. I felt an odd feeling in my stomach..something seemed wrong...

' I guess Erwin knows something..., that letter saved us.'

"____, do you need some water?" Levi held the container up to me.

"T-thank you...Levi.." He nods and continued to look around. "Make sure we haven't been followed. We need to camp somewhere else. Tomorrow we will start our mission to get info."

"Right!" Mikasa and Jean went to scout out the area. "Where...will be staying now....?" I rode up next to Hange a bit sad. Once again we were homeless. "Don't worry..., we will try to find something. At least we have supplies, right Levi?" Hange hoped he would say something decent to me.

"It's true, for now just lay low in the forest near water. That would help us."

"Oh ____." Nifa came up next to me, she was holding paper. "Yes?"

"Erwin sent this for you too. I didn't have time to show you till now." I thanked Nifa for the letter.
