Wednesday hated not knowing things. That's why she wanted to know Lilith's condition so bad. At least that's what she convinced herself of. It definitely wasn't because a part of her wanted to make sure she could help the pyro if she ever needed it. No, it definitely wasn't that.

She stole Enid's laptop and used it to search up heart conditions. She knew Lilith's condition pertains to her heartbeat and that she can't get it worked up and that she takes two different kinds of medications for it. That gave her a good place to start.

She spent the rest of the day thoroughly reading about a bunch of different heart conditions. She was so engrossed in her research that she never noticed Enid enter the room.

Enid watched Wednesday with a mixture of shock and excitement. Wednesday "I hate technology" Addams was using a laptop to learn about heart conditions for a girl she just met. Maybe it was just because of her competitive nature and wanting to win the bet, but Enid couldn't help but wonder if there was a little more to it. Unfortunately for everyone involved, Enid needed her laptop to do homework.

"Umm Wednesday?" The goth hummed in acknowledgement prompting the werewolf to continue. "I kinda need my laptop for homework."

"Who gives homework on the first day of school?" Wednesday asked never looking up.

Enid sighed. "You've clearly never had Mr. Johnson. He's the actual worst so be thankful. The homework is just to read the summary of the book we're reading this quarter and to write a paragraph of what we're expecting or looking forward to, things like that. It won't take that long, but I know if I don't do it now I won't do it later. And I have his class tomorrow so."

Wednesday huffed before standing up and handing her the laptop. "Don't close any of my tabs."

"Got it roomie!" Enid took the laptop and hopped onto her bed the get started. A few minutes in and she realized she had an audience. "Yes, Wednesday?"

Wednesday stayed standing in her spot as she watched Enid and waited. "I'm waiting. You said it wouldn't take long."

Enid chuckled. Sometimes she forgot how literal Wednesday could be. "I said it shouldn't take that long. It may still be fifteen minutes. Really gonna stand that whole time?"

"Yes. I have no other interests currently other than finding out Lilith's heart condition."

The werewolf raised her eyebrows at her in disbelief. "Oh really? Not even your writing time that starts in a few minutes?"

Wednesday narrowed her eyes at her. "You make a good point." She sat in her chair and got ready to write. "I'll write until you finish your homework, but then I want the laptop back." The dinging and clacking of the keys began.

Enid scoffed. "Yeah, because this is our laptop."

"Exactly."

"No, that was sar—" she sighed. "Never mind." She got to work on her homework.

Twenty minutes later she was finished and placed the laptop on Wednesday's desk before going back to her side of the room

Wednesday stopped writing and moved it in front of her. "Took you long enough."

"Okay, Wednesday, you are free to go buy your own laptop." She slipped on her shoes and began making her way to the door while Wednesday opened up the laptop.

"Hey, Enid?" The tone in Wednesday's voice made her walk a little faster. "Why are all my tabs closed?"

"Gotta go bye!" She ran out the door and slammed it behind her as Wednesday yelled her name. She ran to Lilith who was waiting for her in the hallway. She grabbed her hand and started to tug her forward. "Run girl run!"
